In China's printing industry, the packaging and printing industry, known as the "urban industry," has become one of the most growth industries in recent years, and has continued to grow at a rate of 10% to 12%. But careful analysis of the status quo of China's packaging and printing industry, there are still some issues that need to be resolved, these issues have become a bottleneck to hinder the healthy development of China's packaging and printing industry.
More small businesses
Due to the relatively small scale of investment in the packaging and printing industry, the relatively strong ability to absorb labor force, and the low degree of damage to the environment, it is favored by many local governments. Policy-based concessions and support have promoted the development of the industry.
However, from the perspective of layout, packaging and printing companies are relatively scattered, which is not conducive to the daily supervision of the printing industry. From the point of view of the scale of enterprises, packaging and printing companies in developed areas such as the coast are relatively large, while packaging and printing companies in inland regions are relatively small. From a business structure point of view, only a few companies have sufficient sources of supply, while most companies have tight supply. It is precisely because of the large number of small packaging and printing companies, there are low-grade, repeated construction and other phenomena, many companies do not have their own characteristics, the use of high-tech in these packaging and printing companies is still a very low proportion.
Labor inefficiency
Packaging and printing has the functions and effects of increasing the added value of goods, improving the product quality, and enhancing consumption. However, compared with developed countries, the total output value of China's packaging and printing industry is still very low. According to figures, at present, the total output value of the printing industry in China accounts for only about 4% of the total output value of the printing industry in the world, and it accounts for only 2.5% of the national GDP. The labor efficiency of China's packaging and printing industry is also relatively low, even less than one-tenth that of developed countries.
It is true that the inefficiency of labor is determined by a variety of factors. One depends on the technological innovation and transformation of enterprises, and on the other, it depends on the overall improvement of the quality of employees. However, from the reality of China's packaging and printing industry, it will need to go through a relatively long process.
Unbalanced regional development
The development of the packaging and printing industry is inseparable from the development of the regional economy. This is determined by the characteristics of the industry. It is worth noting that the unbalanced development of the national economy has directly led to the uneven distribution of packaging and printing companies in China. For example, rapid economic development in the eastern coastal areas of China, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta region has led to a prosperous trend in the packaging and printing industry, while the economic development in the western inland regions has been relatively backward, and the packaging and printing industry has been relatively weak.
According to the statistics of China Printing and Equipment and Equipment Industry Association, the total output value of packaging and printing in four provinces and one city in Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Jiangsu accounted for more than half of the total output value of packaging printing in the country; Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia in the northwest region. The total output value of packaging and printing in Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang provinces only accounted for about 5% of the country's total output. This status quo, first, caused a waste of printing resources; Second, companies do not have enough competitiveness; Third, hinder the development of packaging and printing companies.
Equipment "polarization"
At present, the level of equipment in China's packaging and printing industry is uneven, and there is clearly a "polarization": that is, there are various high-speed, high-grade, world-leading imported printing machines on the market, and there are also various kinds of low-tech, low-quality printing. equipment.
In particular, most small and medium-sized packaging and printing companies use medium and low-end printing equipment because of lack of funds. Many packaging and printing companies buy second-hand imported printing equipment. Many small-scale enterprises use old-fashioned printing presses, and post-press production equipment is also relatively backward, and some printing equipment is aging. Compared with these small and medium-sized enterprises, some large-scale packaging and printing companies have more advanced equipment, complete equipment, high degree of automation, stable performance, can print a variety of high-end packaging and printing products. This weak and strong status shows that the overall strength of the packaging and printing industry in China is insufficient.
Therefore, facing the future, the industry should focus on solving the four major problems, in the spirit of scientific development, and promote the healthy development of China's packaging and printing industry.
