On November 18, 2025, the International Cooperation and Exchange Conference on Industrial and Supply Chains and the Entrepreneurs Taihu Forum were held in Wuxi. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, delivered the keynote speech, and Governor Liu Xiaotao presided over the event. Yuan Xiaoming, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, attended and delivered a speech.

As one of the Ministry of Commerce's most important domestic events under the 'Invest in China' initiative, this forum attracted more than 700 participants, including leaders from Fortune 500 companies and major business associations in the fields of integrated circuits, new energy, biomedicine, and high-end manufacturing, gathering by the shores of Taihu Lake to discuss the forefront integration of industrial and supply chains and explore effective ways to address global challenges.
At the forum, the Jiangsu Province Biomedicine Full Industry Chain Open Innovation Alliance was launched, the Jiangsu Province New Energy Industry Chain Hub Platform was unveiled, and a number of foreign-invested R&D center projects were signed.

In the signed projects, the Joint Innovation Center co-established by Amcor Group and Jiangnan University has attracted significant attention. The center plans to build China's first 'zero-carbon packaging' project within five years. 'We will focus on the research and development of biodegradable, recyclable, and functional packaging materials, achieving a closed-loop cycle from packaging waste to raw materials,' explained Zhao Fei, R&D Director at Amcor.
As early as around 2010, Amcor began cooperating with Wuxi and has since built three factories there, as well as establishing an Asia-Pacific R&D center. The decision to continue investing in Wuxi stems from the complete industrial chain in the Yangtze River Delta, impressive business growth, and a high-quality business environment. Its localized innovation model has proven effective-using the Wuxi R&D center as a bridge, the new material technologies developed for the Chinese market have successfully gone global, achieving 'R&D in Wuxi, output worldwide.'
