It can make the printed products have a particularly beautiful brilliance, and pay attention to the following items before the printing process:
1. Characteristics of pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink
(1) Vulnerability of pigment: The pearlescent pigment is made of titanium dioxide (or other metal oxide) coated with mica, which is in the form of a flake and is very fragile and easily destroyed.
(2) Large pigment particle size: The commonly used mica titanium pearlescent pigment has a size of 25 μm and a thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 μm.
(3) Transparency has an effect on the pearlescent effect: the pearlescent effect of the pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink is mainly derived from the refraction and interference of the incident light. If the transparency of the ink layer is low, the original abundant light will be absorbed and lost. Therefore, when choosing ink binders or varnish, choose the material with the best transparency.
2. Precautions for use
(1) Suitable for printing on solid color blocks
Due to the large particle size of the pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink pigment, the ultraviolet fluorescent ink particles carried on the dot are less, such as a pigment particle can only be carried on a 2% dot, and it is difficult to ensure the reproduction of the small dot. Therefore, the pearl anti-counterfeiting Ink is not suitable for printing mesh products, it is best used for printing on solid color blocks.
(2) The back is dirty
Pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink is particularly prone to back adhesion, which is mainly due to the large size of pearlescent pigment particles, and in order to increase its fluidity, a large amount of binder is added, which makes the special ink become thinner and the drying time is longer. . The following measures can be taken to control and solve: First, strictly control the temperature and humidity of the workshop, the temperature is controlled at about 20 °C, and the humidity is controlled at about 55%. The second is to keep the amount of water as small as possible while ensuring the balance of ink and water. The third is to spray a proper amount in the delivery section, but it should be noted that the amount of powder sprayed should not be too large, otherwise it will affect the gloss of the pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink. In addition, it is best not to use dry oil to improve the drying speed of pearlescent anti-counterfeiting ink. If you must use dry oil, be sure to use white dry oil, red dry oil will affect the appearance of pearlescent effect, and the amount of dry oil should not exceed 2 %.
