Crystal refers to natural quartz crystals. Pure crystal, very beautiful, hexagonal columnar crystal, clean and colorless, shiny, and can reflect colorful colors in sunlight. If there are impurities, it will be colored, such as the famous citrine, amethyst and so on. However, there are not many natural large crystals, which are generally man-made. When the colorless quartz is heated to 2000 ° C, a transparent single crystal is formed, and various high-grade crafts, lenses, etc. are produced by cutting, grinding, etc., although the products are made of crystal. High temperature resistance, wear resistance, and low resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, but its high cost and low processing efficiency, while the actual "crystal crafts" are processed with plastic products such as plexiglass and transparent resin crystal glue. The plastic has good transparency, looks like crystal, is easy to process, easy to purchase raw materials, and cheap, can be produced in large quantities, or can be hand-made in the home.

Now this crystal technology is used in conference souvenirs, corporate promotional materials, craft gifts, tourist souvenirs, decorative items, etc., crystal crafts have their own unique ornamental and collectible, screen printing technology in crystal arts and crafts applications. It is not only to improve its craft decoration and ornamental, but also most enterprises and institutions print relevant public relations texts and patterns on the handicrafts, so that they can unwittingly play an image propaganda role when they are watched by people, and improve the visibility of the enterprise.

The process flow and corresponding production methods are briefly described below. The process flow is: two steps of molding-casting. The role of the mold is to make the processed raw materials favorable for molding and easy for mass production. Although the ratio of various crystal glues is different, the production process is consistent. Formulation (calculated by mass ratio): 100 parts of plexiglass monomer (polymethyl methacrylate solution), plexiglass plate (formed 3 to 5 mm thick) <6 parts, 4 to 6 parts of dibutyl phthalate solution, Azobisisobutyronitrile white crystal (toxic, should be safe when handling, wear protective gloves and supplies) 0 to 1 serving.

The mold is generally made of flat glass plate, such as various simple square and round molds. The glassware can be used to cut the silicon glass (flat glass) into the required geometry and the edge strips, and then the edge strips are adhered to the bottom plate with the glass glue. On the glass, the glass glue should be glued to the outside of the mold when bonding, such as the edge of the blade is flat and the grinding wheel is flattened. If you want to make high-precision crafts, you need to make a three-dimensional mold with silicone rubber or metal. The smoothness of the mold is proportional to the surface finish of the molded product.

Operation method: firstly, the plexiglass monomer is placed in the enamel container, the plexiglass plate is dissolved in the monomer according to the ratio, and the mixture is uniformly stirred, and then dibutyl phthalate and azobisisobutyronitrile are added, and the mixture is stirred and evenly mixed. After eliminating the bubbles generated during the stirring, the conditioned slurry is poured into the model for polymerization. After the mold is opened, the transparent plexiglass is obtained. If the transparent product is to have a variety of colors, a small amount of organic may be added to the ingredients. Pigments, when mixed, produce a colorful effect. If you want to make a variety of imitation amber crafts with molds, you must first put all the selected small models, biological specimens, coins, toys, etc. (referred to as the mold) in the middle of the mold after half of the slurry is poured into the mold. Refill the mold cavity. It can also be placed in the mold first and then cast once.

When performing screen printing processing decoration, 300-420 mesh nylon color screen should be selected, and the screen plate should be made by oblique plate making. The film should not be too thick. It can be printed on various plastic inks and printed on the finished surface. It can also be printed in the handicraft. The specific method is to polymerize the slurry after the infusion, and take it out and place it on the positioning module of the handprinting table. The graphic is printed by hand printing. The ink used should be compared with the slurry. If you want to dissolve the reaction, use a non-reactive ink to print, and the decorative layer outside the mold should also be tested to avoid damage to the product quality. When the printed semi-finished product is placed in the mold and filled and sealed after drying, the graphic is sealed in the middle of the handicraft. For curved surface and curved surface printing, transparent adhesive can be printed first, and then pasted after refilling. When hot stamping is required, in addition to using hot stamping machine, gold instant printing can also be used to print imitation hot stamping. The method is beige. Ink or imitation etched ink for negative printing, that is, highlighting the pattern of imitation gilding, this method is also suitable for various handicraft surface or trademark printing, the required ink color and background color can be similar.
