Brunel's third generation (1981 edition) test strips, from left to right, from top to bottom, and numbered sequentially. among them:

There are two wireframes for Y, M, C, and BK four Brunel control strips relative to the registration check: (1) and (106).

The measurement section of the overprint ratio T is (3) to (9).

There are seven blocks in the Y solid block: (9), (23), (39), (55), (71), (87), (103), and DVY.

There are a section of Y three blocks: (69), (70), (71) measuring the dot gain value ZDY and the printing relative contrast KY.

There are six segments in the Y segment: (24), (25); (40), (41); (56), (57); (72), (73); (88), (89); ), (105) is used to measure the expansion point value of 50%, which is specially designed by Brunel.

ZDY0.05=[D60L/cm (0.50)-D10L/cm(0.50)] x 100%

There is one piece of Y's printing signal block: (62) is used to judge the resolution of the printing plate and the degree of the printing plate.

There are seven blocks in the M solid block: (7), (20), (36), (52), (66), (84), and (100), Dvm.

The M three block has two segments: (50), (51), (52); (98), (99), (100) the measured dot gain ZDM and the printed relative contrast KM.

There are six segments in M: (21), (22); (37), (38); (53), (54); (67), (68); (85), (86); ), (102). Calculate the expansion point value of ZDM0.50 at 50%.

Two pieces of M's printing signal block: (46); (94) to determine the plate resolution (μm) and the degree of exposure of the plate (darkness).

There are seven blocks in the C solid block: (5), (17), (33), (47), (63), (81), (95), Dvc.

There are two segments in the C block: (31), (32), (33); (79), (80), (81) the measured dot gain ZDC and the printed relative contrast KC.

There are six sections in the two sections of C: (18), (19): (34), (35); (48), (49); (64), (65); (82), (83); ), (97) Calculate the 50% expansion point of the ZDC (0.50) = [D60L / CM (0.50)] - D10L / CM (0.50)] x 100%

There are two pieces of C's printing signal block: (30), (78). Determine the resolution of the plate and the depth of the plate.

Seven BK real blocks: (2), (12), (26), (42), (58), (74), (90), DVBK

A section of BK three segments: (10), (11), (12) measuring the dot gain value ZD and the printing relative contrast KBK.

Two sections of BK two sections: (13), (14); (27), (28); (43), (44), (59), (60); (75), (76); (91) (92) is the dot gain value ZDBK at the 50% measurement of the Brunel test strip.

ZDBK0.50=[D60l/cm(0.50)-D10l/cm(0.50)” x 100%

A piece of BK printing signal block: (16), to determine the plate resolution (μm) and the degree of lightness of the printing plate.

Gray balance block Balance six: (15), (29), (45), (61), (77), (93) check the color balance (ash balance state B).

Placement of the control strip on the plate

When printing, Y, M, C, BK color separation film will be accompanied by their own control strips, sun-dried on their respective plates, in addition to the depth of the sun to meet the requirements, but also to ensure the color graphics and measurement and control areas , segment, block position is accurate.

(1) Location

Usually, the area on which the control strip can be placed on the printing plate is: corresponding to the bite (the mouth) and the trailing end (the tail) on the printed sheet. Set on an area other than the cut size. The more bars you have set, the more extra white paper you need.

(2) The purpose of determining location

1 The printing quality that is most prone to the quality deviation area is controlled within the standard quality standard, so the printing quality of other parts of the printing sheet is not easy to cause problems.

2 The printing quality at the position of the general printed sheet is minimally affected by unfavorable factors such as printing failure, and the printing quality of the printed portion of the printed sheet can best reflect the influence degree of adverse factors such as printing failure. Therefore, the control strips that help printers monitor the print quality during printing are almost always placed at the end of the plate (ie, at the tip of the sheet).

3 The measuring and control strips at the tip of the tractor should be at least 2~3mm away from the edge of the paper to prevent the paper and paper powder of the paper from getting on the measuring block and section of the measuring strip, thus reducing the measurement and control effect. For example, GB 7705-87 makes this provision for lithographic prints. Obviously, it is necessary to wipe the paper and paper powder with a clean rag on the four sides of the white paper pile before printing.
