On the 15th of the month, the 4th China Youth Reading Index was released in Beijing in 2018. Through the tracking of youth reading behavior through big data, in June, the reading demand of the philosophical and social science reading domain surpassed the literary reading domain and the demand index was 29.77. In July, it fell slightly, but still ranked first, demand The index is 24.12.
The China Youth Reading Supply Index shows that the supply of literary reading domains is still the most, far exceeding the supply of other reading domains. By observing the trend of the supply index of the domain, it is found that the supply index of each reading domain is more stable and less volatile than the demand index. The largest increase in the supply index in July was in the natural sciences reading field. The supply index rose from 8.26 in June to 9.41 in July, up 1.15 points from the previous month.
By comparing the difference between demand and supply changes in the past two months, the relationship between demand changes and supply changes can be divided into four types of intervals. Among them, the first type of interval increases the demand and supply in the same direction, and the reading domain belonging to the interval is conducive to the warming of the market, mainly including the economic and financial management reading domain. The demand index rose from 8.98 in June to 10.76 in July, an increase of 1.78 from the previous month; the supply index rose from 6.04 in June to 6.89 in July, an increase of 0.85 from the previous month. It can be seen from this set of data that the Chinese Youth Reading Index clearly shows the public opinion of the Sino-US trade war in the reading field with the abstract power of encoding-decoding ability.
