With the continuous surge in the publishing industry's demand for small-batch, multi-batch, fast-delivery, and high-quality printing, digital inkjet printing technology has clearly become a key breakthrough for the digital upgrade of book printing.

Having been deeply involved in digital printing manufacturing for many years, HanGlory & HanGlobal have consistently stuck to cutting-edge technology self-research and product iteration innovation. Leveraging strong digital product capabilities, they address long-standing industry pain points in book printing, such as rigid production capacity, inventory backlog, and inconsistent quality, achieving efficient, flexible, and fast response long with flexible mass production. Since its launch, their new generation 1200DPI color rotary inkjet book printing line has earned wide recognition and a good market reputation for its overall performance, including higher efficiency delivery, finer image reproduction, and high stability for continuous operation.

From June 29 to July 3, 2026, the HanGlobal Book Customer Factory Open Day was held at Mingcheng Printing Co., Ltd., focusing on the urgent needs and pain points of high-demand publisher orders, and provided an on-site, intuitive demonstration of the new Kirin 660CHD machine's high-speed, high-precision, and stable flexible mass production capabilities.

Mingcheng Printing Co., Ltd. is one of the earlier integrated printing companies in the industry to successfully achieve digital transformation. As early as 2016, it launched its first digital printing production line. After years of iteration and upgrades, it now has a wide range of digital book and magazine machines with complete specifications and strong production capabilities. It has built a fully automated, intelligent, closed-loop production chain that forms books directly from rolls of paper. The company has accumulated rich production and operational experience as well as mature technical solutions in the POD (print on demand) printing field, earning it a solid reputation and competitive edge in the industry.

Mingcheng Printing maintains a long-term, deep collaboration with HanHong Group, successively introducing multiple HongBo digital inkjet book and magazine presses. From the 600DPI series machines Kirin 660 (mono) and Kirin 660C (color) to the 1200DPI series Kirin 660X (color) and the latest generation Kirin 660CHD (color), the company has fully witnessed HanHong's comprehensive technological progress in book and magazine inkjet printing within a diversified digital industry ecosystem. These machines meet the current publishing industry's demand for small-batch, multi-batch, high-quality print products, further activating print-on-demand production capacity and pushing forward the company's digital transformation.

First, the device features an ultra-wide printing color gamut, with natural transitions between light and dark and rich, detailed colors. Whether it's gradient text and images, large solid backgrounds, or artistic illustrations, it can perfectly reproduce the original texture. Even when using the high ink mode commonly used for books and magazines, batch printing on offset paper that easily wrinkles from ink absorption still results in smooth, wrinkle-free pages with no ink bleed. This outstanding performance relies on HanHong & HongBo's self-developed three-stage efficient drying system (composed of instant drying, drum drying, and hot air drying modules, forming a closed loop for the entire drying process).

Second, the device maintains stable and controllable four-color registration accuracy throughout. In high-speed production of actual orders, double-sided print is sharp and complete, overlapping colors have clean edges with no misalignment, and high-speed paper feeding causes no smudges or stretching. It easily handles complex, fine color text orders. Even after long continuous production runs, the printing accuracy shows no visible difference to the naked eye. Small color annotations and fine line illustrations remain clear and sharp with clean edges, fully meeting publishers' quality inspection standards.

On top of its excellent print quality, the Kirin 660CHD also comes with a range of smart features that make efficient production much easier. It comes standard with front-and-back registration printing, ensuring precise alignment on double-sided pages. Users can also add optional features based on their needs-like barcode printing (printing on already printed materials), variable document printing (highly suited for invoices, labels, logistics documents, etc.), and order color parameter recording (recalling the same color settings with one click for reorders). From alignment and reprinting to color management, these features create a complete smart production and data management loop, boosting overall production efficiency and management.

In today's rapidly advancing digital inkjet printing technology, the book and magazine printing market is experiencing a shift from 'fast and mass production' to 'high-quality on-demand production.' If 1200DPI technology is the 'ticket' to entering the high-end book market, then the real test of whether a machine truly has 'advanced' capabilities is how it can maintain high-speed operation of 100-200 m/min while still reliably producing high-definition double-sided CMYK prints on various types of paper.
