Heidelberg Acquires Manroland's Lifecycle Business and Global Sales and Service Companies to Strengthen Growth
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG, hereinafter referred to as "Heidelberg") announced that it will acquire the lifecycle business of manroland sheetfed Group as well as its global sales and service subsidiaries. This deal will further solidify Heidelberg's leading position in the global printing and packaging industry. By combining the strengths of these two well-established printing equipment companies, they will create synergies in global reach, service quality, and customer focus.

Heidelberg has now fully taken over the service and spare parts business for Manroland equipment.
In the initial phase, Heidelberg will focus on ensuring the continued operation of Manroland equipment and maintaining the stability of its global service and spare parts supply system. Through this integration, the company will further improve its global service and lifecycle business coverage, strengthen its position as a provider of integrated solutions, and lay a foundation for boosting recurring revenue and achieving long-term sustainable growth.
According to the transaction agreement, Heidelberg will take over Manroland's service and sales organizations in about 35 countries (around 600 employees) and acquire the related technology and intellectual property. This will significantly enhance Heidelberg's global service capabilities and provide continuous support to more than 3,000 customers. In addition, the company has also obtained the intellectual property related to the Roland 900/Cartonmaster systems, with future development directions still under evaluation.
By integrating customer resources, Heidelberg will further expand its customer reach and fully incorporate Manroland's customers into its global service network. Customers can receive standardized, high-quality support from Heidelberg worldwide while maintaining the stability of their original service systems. At the same time, the company will build an end-to-end integrated solution system through equipment upgrades, consumable supply, Prinect workflow software, and data-driven services, continuously enhancing customers' production efficiency.

Relying on Heidelberg's global service network that spans over 170 countries, customers will get centralized and unified support and always enjoy high-quality service.
Dr. David Schmedding, Global President of Technology and Sales at Heidelberg, said, 'This acquisition is an important step in advancing our company's core business strategy. By taking over Manroland's service and spare parts operations, we can provide our customers with more comprehensive and reliable support and continue to create value through integrated solutions.'

Heidelberg fully supports Manroland customers to ensure the reliable and continuous operation of their equipment and provides them with options to upgrade to cutting-edge Speedmaster technology, such as the globally best-selling model-the Speedmaster CX 104.
As one of the most important printing and packaging markets in the world, China has always been a key part of Heidelberg's strategic layout. Looking ahead, Heidelberg will leverage the technological and service advantages brought by this integration to further enhance its localized service capabilities and customer response efficiency in the Chinese market. In the context of the industry rapidly moving toward greener, digital, and high-end transformation, the company will work together with Chinese customers and partners to face market challenges, boost industry confidence with continuous innovation and reliable service, and drive long-term stable development and mutually beneficial outcomes.
