The lack of traditional label printing With the development of the times, enterprises are increasingly demanding the packaging and labeling of their products. Labels of high quality, high information content, novelty, anti-counterfeiting and environmental protection are being recognized and needed by Chinese companies.
On the one hand, while the quality of the product is improved, the label carrying the product information is more beautiful. Today, when goods are extremely rich, consumers pay attention to each item for a very short time. It is not easy to stand out from the crowded products. Only by relying on packaging and labels to attract consumers' attention can they be accepted and purchased by consumers. .
On the other hand, users have increased the requirements for the function and form of the label. For example, the label is required to be intelligent and anti-counterfeiting, and the size is no longer limited to a certain range, and some even reach 100mm x500mm; some inner layers of labels do not use double-sided adhesive, but glued to reduce production costs; the demand for labels used in service industry and logistics management increases, such as air baggage, book labels, highway non-stop bills, etc. And need to have both anti-counterfeiting features.
At present, digital printing technology impacts various parts of printing, and the shortcomings of traditional label printing in the market are gradually exposed:
(1) Labels on the market (especially film labels) are mostly screen-printed and flexographically printed, which not only have complicated processing, long cycle, but also have poor timeliness.
(2) In terms of product design, the screening of design schemes is subject to repeated proofing and modification, which is not only troublesome but also costly.
(3) The traditional printing method should realize variable data printing and digital encoding. Printing of anti-counterfeit labels such as barcodes requires two or three times of printing, which is more cumbersome than digital printing.
(4) It is impossible to deal with short-running jobs with less than 2,000 copies, such as the labeling or packaging of some promotional items or test products, so that printing companies can not only make profits but also lose money.
(5) The requirements of customers for the quality of printed materials are getting higher and higher, and the printing volume is getting smaller and smaller, which makes the market competitiveness of traditional label printing continue to decline.
