How to keep the color of corrugated cardboard ink printing consistent and accurate, thus reducing the scrap rate, this is a topic of common concern for carton companies. The reason for the inconsistency of the printing color depth and the "running version" is mainly because the ink viscosity is not well controlled; the ink transfer state is unstable; the paper feeding state is unstable; the flatness of the paperboard is not good. To keep the color of the corrugated board ink printing consistent and accurate, you must do the following:

Keep the ink viscosity stable. Ink viscosity is one of the main indicators that need to be controlled in corrugated board printing. It is one of the main factors affecting the color of printing. Because the evaporation of the ink solvent during the printing process, its viscosity will increase, in order to maintain the stability of the viscosity of the ink, the ink stabilizer should be added every 0.5 to 1 hour, the amount of addition is 1% to 2%;

Keep the ink transfer amount stable. Because the printing speed is related to the state of ink transfer, it is stable and stable to maintain the printing speed, and cannot be slowed down. It is also necessary to maintain a balanced paper, and no sheet feeding can occur. Only in this way can the stability of ink printing color play an important role;

Keep the paper feed stable. In addition to the stable running speed of the printing press, the manual paper feed point should be fixed. For paperboard with poor flatness, it should be properly treated, such as reversing along one side (or both sides) of the transverse line of the cardboard; The gaps of the paper guides should be consistent, which is an important link related to maintaining the stable operation of the paperboard, and an important method to solve the "running board" phenomenon;

Keep the printing equipment in good condition. It is important to emphasize that the anilox plate is clean and clean, which is directly related to the printing effect. Because the anilox roller is related to the ink transfer performance, the printing plate is related to the clarity of printed characters and patterns.


Die cutting


With the continuous enrichment of the carton printing process and the continuous improvement of the processing speed, the problems exposed by the die-cutting process are increasing. Reasonable control of the production of waste during the die-cutting process has become another important link in the “reduction of corrugated box production costs”.


Solve the inaccuracy of die cutting or inaccurate die cutting position


The position of the die-cut creasing line does not match the position of the printed product. The reasons for this failure are as follows:


(1) There is an error in the manufacturing process of the die cutter, and it is impossible to absolutely reach the ideal die-cutting position. Nowadays, the die-cutting knife making methods mainly include manual plate making and laser plate making. Laser plate making precision is relatively high, design and cutting are done by computer and machinery, suitable for die cutting of medium and high-grade packaging. The manual plate making method has high requirements on the technical level of the plate maker, and the plate making machine is affected by various factors such as the technical level and experience of the plate making machine, and is suitable for the medium and short version packaging with low precision requirements. Therefore, in order to obtain good die-cutting precision, advanced plate making methods must be selected;

(2) Cardboard mouthwash rules vary. All die-cutting machines themselves produce precision errors. To improve die-cutting indentation accuracy, we must choose a high-precision die-cutting machine. If the specification error of the cardboard mouth is large, it may be that the rear positioning of the die-cutting machine (also called secondary positioning) is too small, and it can be solved by adjusting the positioning and increasing the positioning distance after the positioning;

(3) The die-cutting indentation and the printed position are not aligned. The solution is to re-calibrate the die-cutting plate according to the product requirements. The positive printing and the die-cutting indentation are also arranged, or the paper conveying side positioning rule or the front can be adjusted. The positioning rules are corrected to register the die cut indentation with the printing grid.

(4) Die-cutting indentation and printing work environment will cause deformation or stretch of the cardboard fiber, and the die-cutting indentation will be inaccurate. The die-cutting indentation should be ensured as much as possible to ensure the same working environment (ie, the same temperature, humidity, etc.).


Solve the "dark line" or "frying line" creasing line is not clear


"Dark line" refers to an indentation line that should not be present; "fried line" means that the cardboard fiber is broken or partially broken due to excessive pressure of the die-cutting indentation exceeding the tolerance of the cardboard fiber. There are several reasons for this failure:


The indentation line and the indentation mode are not properly selected. The model of the indentation line and the height of the indentation line can be selected as follows


When die cutting corrugated paper:


Groove depth of indentation die = real paper thickness of corrugated paper

The groove width of the indentation die = 2 times the paper thickness of the corrugated paper + the thickness of the indentation line

Height of the indentation line = die cutter height - corrugated paper pressure real time paper thickness

The molding machine pressure is not properly adjusted. The pressure regulating mechanism of the die-cutting machine should be adjusted to appropriately adjust the pressure of the die-cutting machine;

The thickness of the fixed pad adhesive paper is not accurate. Because the paper is too low or too high, the adjustment method is to re-pad;


The paper is too bad or the paper moisture content is too low. Paper brittleness is increased, and the toughness is reduced to produce a frying line, which can be solved by increasing the ambient temperature.


Solve the irregularity of the creasing line


The reasons for this failure are:

The bad width of the indentation mold is not suitable. The groove width of the indentation mold can be reselected as described above;

The seam on the die cutter is too wide, and the indentation line is twisted under the pressure of the die cut. The solution is to replace the knife version and use a qualified die-cutting indentation knife


Solve the crack at the cardboard crease when folding the paste box


When the paste box is folded, such as the outer side of the cardboard indentation line is cracked because the indentation line is too deep or the width of the indentation mold is insufficient; if the inner side of the cardboard is cracked, the paper fiber is broken due to excessive pressure of the die-cutting indentation. The solution is to reduce the pressure of the die-cutting machine appropriately, use a slightly lower indentation line, or widen the indentation line according to the thickness of the cardboard.


Solve the problem of die-cutting


The result of die cutting is mainly related to the plate making process and the ejecting strip (or sponge). The causes of the failure are as follows:

Die-cutting is small and has fewer points. If the shape of the job is complicated or there are many jobs, and the die-cutting points are small and the points are small, the die-cutting is easy to cause. The number of joints should be increased as appropriate; in addition, the length direction of the print should be as consistent as the direction of paper transport when making plates;

The release paper strip attached to the die cut plate has a small hardness. If the sponge is too soft, the paper cannot be smoothly separated from the die cutter or the indentation line, thus causing the loose plate. Should be replaced by high-quality sponge with high hardness and good elasticity.

With the development of packaging and printing technology, the products with bright colors, generous design, clear lines, smooth lines, no frying lines, no explosion color, no hair, no paper dust will be more favored by users.


Warehousing


In the “reducing corrugated box production cost”, it is also very important for the carton enterprises to maintain a good moisture-proof effect. In addition to using some slurry improvers and additives, other factors should be noted. How to solve the carton moisture problem during the storage process:

The cardboard that has just come out of the production line should be cooled in the direction of the corrugated air to cool and shape it;

Stacking corrugated cardboard should be stacked on both sides of the front and back sides (10 to 20 sheets per side is appropriate), the height should be appropriate, and the top should be applied with a certain pressure to make the corrugated board flat and not deformed;

The storage warehouse should have a high terrain, the drainage should be smooth, and the ventilation should be good to facilitate air convection;

When opening or covering the open air, it must be covered with plastic film. The sleepers should be placed on the mat. The height from the ground should be more than 150mm. Cover the tarpaulin to prevent the rain from getting wet.


Corrugated cardboard is strictly prohibited from sitting, lying or applying heavy objects to prevent collapse.
