To understand stereo printing, we must first understand the types and principles of stereo imaging.
1. Two-way display method
The two-way display method mainly includes the following:
(1) Stereoscopic imaging: The basic principle is to observe the left and right graphics with a stereoscopic mirror to form a three-dimensional effect. This stereoscopic mirror is a special kind of stereoscopic mirror. The general stereoscopic mirror is not easy to produce stereoscopic vision.
(2) Color filter imaging: In color photography, the role of the color filter is to balance the color temperature.
1 kinds of color filters: color conversion, color compensation (ie CC mirror), ultraviolet (ie UV mirror), soft light mirror, close-up lens, neutral gray filter and fluorescent color filter.
2 Imaging principle: Taking the two-color filter as an example, its imaging principle is to print the left and right images in the same plane with red and blue inks, and then observe the printed images through red and blue color filters. The application of two-color filters is not extensive, for two main reasons:
a. The red and blue color filters have different wavelengths, which are easy to cause eye fatigue.
b. Since the color filter and the ink complement each other, the image observed with the color filter is black by the principle of subtractive color. Therefore, this method is limited to black and white photographs and is not suitable for color prints. This limits the range of use of the color filter to some extent.
(3) Polarized color filter imaging: The imaging principle of the polarized color filter is that the left and right images are respectively projected on the same plane through polarized color filters that are orthogonal to each other, and the left and right eyes are also observed by the same polarizing filter.
This method is used for the imaging of stereoscopic movies and stereoscopic televisions, all of which need to be observed with special glasses equipped with polarizing filters. Because the imaging effect is good, the observation is convenient, and the application is wider.
(4) Alternate segmentation imaging: The alternate segmentation imaging is to alternately present the left and right images on the same plane, while obscuring unnecessary portions, and observing the parallax of the left and right images by both eyes to obtain a stereoscopic effect.
Alternate segmentation imaging has not been widespread so far for two reasons:
1 Afterimage effect will cause flash.
2 shielding glasses are expensive.
2. Multi-directional display method
The multi-directional display method mainly includes the following two types:
(1) Parallax barrier imaging: principle of parallax barrier imaging: the images of the left and right eyes are segmented by slits, and then the images are exposed on the film, followed by development, printing, and finally printing. The stereo image can be seen by placing the printed matter at the position where the image was taken and the eyes are placed at the position where the image is placed.
(2) Cylindrical lens imaging: The lens of the cylindrical lens has a focusing effect. The lens method can continuously photograph within an effective angle, and a stereoscopic image can be obtained at one time, but it is very difficult to enlarge after photography. Since the cylindrical lens has a long exposure time and cannot capture moving objects, it is photographed while moving, and then images of the respective directions are combined by a cylindrical lens.
