Self-adhesive printing differs depending on the type of printing paper. Currently, there are two types of printing paper:
1. a monomer structure of a printing paper monomer or an adhesive, such as a water-soluble active glue;
2. The printing paper is a surface substrate, and a pressure sensitive glue is applied, and a bottom paper composite structure (also referred to as self-adhesive) which is coated with a release agent is used.
The former can be manufactured by a non-adhesive printing machine, and the usual self-adhesive printing refers to the latter.
The self-adhesive printing machine can perform printing, embossing, die, film processing, etc. at the same time or continuously, which is very different from general printing. Printing methods include letterpress, offset, gravure, flexo, screen printing and many other methods.
Plate making and printing method
Plate making of self-adhesive printing, including the production of printing plates, including punching, flat pressing and the like.
1. Self-adhesive printing layout
There are letterpress, offset, gravure, flexo, screen printing, etc., which has the largest proportion in Japanese letterpress. In recent years, flexographic printing has become more and more popular, and it has become the mainstream of printing in Europe and the United States.
2. The way of self-adhesive printing
a) Flat printing method: intermittent paper feeding, printing, die cutting, etc. when the paper stops.
b) Rotary printing method: suitable for high-speed operation, the layout also has convex, glue, soft, concave and so on.
c) Screen printing method: Developed for the manufacture of continuous label printing such as nameplates and wiring diagrams.
3. Die cutting knife manufacturing method
a) Flat-press die-cutting knives: The same style as ordinary flat die-cutting knives. Because of the relatively thin surface substrate, bakelite (phenolic) or vinyl chloride (PVC) original plates are commonly used for die holders.
b) Cylindrical die cutter: engrave the die and pay the knife on the cylinder.
c) In recent years, the type of sheet that has made the cylinder magnetic and corroded has been added.
4. Different printing methods: According to the printing method, drying method, printing paper, the type of ink and adaptability are very different. Therefore, to select inks suitable for various methods, ink suppliers are required to provide satisfactory solutions.
