2. The blanket is directional. The desired effect can only be achieved by selecting the radial direction of the blanket as the direction of cutting, tightening and tension. The direction of the blanket is mainly determined by the thread of the plain backing of the back of the blanket. The manufacturer usually weaves a line different from the color of the fabric in the direction of rotation of the drum or indicates the arrow.

3. When installing the blanket, pay special attention to whether the blanket and its liner are flat, and there must be no wrinkles. If there is a foreign object in the blanket, it will appear concave and convex, so be sure to reinstall it.

4. When tightening the blanket, both the tip and the bite should be carried out at the same time. Do not tighten on one side. Only a tightly stretched blanket can guarantee a clear print quality. However, the blanket is an elastic object, and the elongation after the force is generated during the printing process. In order to accurately transfer the graphic size on the printing plate to the paper, the blanket is required to have a small elongation during the entire imprinting process and must be uniform. The above elongation is related not only to the quality of the blanket itself, but also to the degree of tension of the blanket on the drum, but the tighter the blanket is, the better it is? Of course this is not the case in actual work. Although the tighter the blanket, the better the print quality, but the overstretch of the blanket causes an increase in the amount of friction on the surface and a decrease in the life of the printing plate. Therefore, the blanket should be stretched tightly.

5. Before installing the blanket, the thickness of the blanket and its liner should be accurately measured with a micrometer to ensure the thickness of the liner is accurate and reasonable.

6. The lining paper in the blanket lining should be shorter than the blanket to prevent the water from infiltrating into the paper fiber and deformed by water, reducing the rust erosion of the drum.
