In gravure printing production, because the solvent in the ink tank volatilizes, the uniformity of the ink is reduced, and the surface is easy to form into ink and ink. After the plate roll is attached, the blade is not easy to be scraped, so that the printed product can be paste, cut, etc. defect. To solve this problem, as long as the ink "flows" and keeps mixing, it is natural to avoid this situation.
There are two ways to make the ink move. One is to use an ink circulation pump to circulate the ink. The other is to place a stirring rod in the ink tank to allow the ink to flow in the ink tank. The former is the outer circulation of the ink, the cost is high, and the factors that cause the failure are increased. Generally, it is matched with the solvent and viscosity automatic control system, and is not included in the introduction. The latter is the most economical and effective measure from the perspective of making the ink uniform.
The stir bar is generally a rod made of an aluminum alloy having a spiral continuous protrusion on the surface, a so-called "corrugated" or unfolded line, and magnetic material at both ends, which can be adsorbed on the plate roll. During the printing, the ink stick floats on the surface of the ink, and when the plate roller rotates, it is rotated in the opposite direction by the adsorption. When rotating, the corrugation drives the surface of the ink to allow the surface ink to move, thereby evening the ink and avoiding the corresponding quality problems of the printed product.
There are two main points in determining the quality of the ink stick:
1. Effect
Why the ink surface is crusted during the gravure printing process, mainly because the printed plate is round and has a center point. It only runs in one direction during the printing process. The bubbles generated during the operation float on the surface of the ink in front of the plate to form a so-called ink crust. It is precisely because of the intense operation of the plate cylinder that the surface is foamed, resulting in excessive volatility of the organic solvent in the ink.
The agitator is only a spacer between the plate and the surface of the ink. Its real function is to operate properly, that is, to stir the ink and isolate, and to reduce the exertion of organic solvents. Moreover, the magnetic substance on the agitating stick can absorb the metal residue in the ink. It also plays a filtering role.
2. Life expectancy
Because the ink stick needs to float on the surface of the ink, it is generally hollow. If the seal leaks, the solvent will enter the inside of the stirrer stick, it will sink and lose the stirring effect, so the seal at both ends should be corrosion resistant. In addition, the surface wear resistance is better. The most durable in the market is the all-aluminum ink stick. That is, the two-end seal is also an aluminum product or other metal product.
At present, commercially available stirrer sticks generally have the following types:
1. Plastic stir bar
Commonly used in imported products, the surface is made of wear-resistant plastic sheet, the paper core is used internally, the quality is quite good, and the price is relatively high, generally about 1,000 yuan per meter. It is said that some people in China have already copied it, but because there is no better wear-resistant plastic material, the life is relatively poor, and the effect of stirring the ink is not very good. In fact, this paper ink stick effect is the best. Because the round bar made of paper is not easy to deform, because he has certain toughness. The metal is not so deformed more easily.
2. Rope winding rod
It is generally made of a universal aluminum tube with a wire wound around the surface as a deployment line. These products have two defects:
1 Because the wire is wound, the angle of the unfolding line is relatively small;
2 wire rope will infiltrate the ink, it is not easy to clean when changing the ink color. The disadvantage of tangled rope is that it is not easy to clean. But the advantage is that 3, 4 can not be compared, that is, it will not hurt the plate, the running friction is caused by the plastic rope and the plate.
3. Single wire aluminum alloy corrugated ink stick
The structure is the same as the rope-wound ink stick, but the wire rope is changed to the aluminum alloy spiral protrusion, because there is only one unfolding line, the angle is small, and the effect of stirring the ink is relatively poor. This is much better than the 4 below. Because the ink stick and the plate have a small friction surface. Less raised lines. This product has applied for a new utility patent for national products in 2003.
4. Eight-line aluminum alloy corrugated stirring rod
The aluminum alloy rotary extrusion profile has 8 expansion lines on the surface and a large angle, which is the best product for the current mixing effect. In addition, these products not only have corrosion resistance at both ends, but also wear resistance. If the iron scraps and other debris absorbed by the ink sticks are cleaned in time, the service life is generally 2 to 3 years, which greatly saves the manufacturers' uniformity. Ink cost. This is also the product that most color printing companies choose. At present, Beijing Land Meike's LB-03 eight-line stirrer stick and Guangxi's eight-line stir stick are such products. The so-called eight-line is a pattern used by domestic stainless products for decoration. Hangers for stainless steel products are more common.
There is a problem of the ink return direction of the eight-line corrugated ink stick, which is actually whether the corrugation has an interface problem. If the left and right swirling corrugations meet in the middle, the ink will flow from the middle of the ink tank to both ends or both ends to the middle during operation (need to reverse the orientation); if the ink stick is a through grain (ie no interface, no matter whether it is left-handed or right-handed) When working, the ink will flow from one end of the ink tank to the other end. However, these two methods of ink return have little effect on the uniformity of the ink. Each interface will bring a wound to the plate. This used should be the clearest. Because the interface is not in line with other textures. It is also called high or prominent. Each time it runs, it hits the plate at the high point.
