Paper, ink and plate are the three main consumables for printing. Under the premise of ensuring the quality of printed products, how to reduce the cost of these materials is a problem faced by enterprise managers, which is directly related to the economic benefits of enterprises. Let's talk about how to save ink today.
Familiar with the price of various brand inks
For inks of the same hue and similar grades, the manufacturers have different prices. For example, printing a whiteboard paper, using the fast-drying light in the A ink factory, the yellow ink and the quick-drying bright blue, and the green ink color in the fast-drying bright yellow and fast-drying bright blue in the B ink factory. The same, and the printability is very good, the print quality is relatively close, but from the cost point of view, the cost of the ink from the B ink factory is obviously lower.
Select the appropriate ink according to the printing paper
Under normal circumstances, paper with smooth printing surface, such as glass cardboard, coated paper, etc., should use fast-drying glossy offset ink. The ink has vivid color, high tinting strength, strong gloss, superior printability and good drying performance.
For non-absorbent papers with large absorption and surface porosity, such as offset paper, writing paper, wrapping paper, etc., ordinary resin offset printing ink should be used; if fast-drying bright ink is used, the printing suitability is not matched, and it is difficult to form a flat ink film. The gloss is lowered, the drying performance is not good, and the cost is high.
Estimating the amount of ink before printing
In order to avoid the waste of ink, before the ink is adjusted, the ink blending amount should be estimated according to the printing quantity, the printing paper, the ink type, the size of the image portion of the printed product, and the like. For customers' frequently printed products or large quantities of printed products, be sure to carefully record the ink, and each sample should be sampled and kept in a safe place for future reference. For products that require a stable hue and a small amount of ink but need to be printed frequently, you can mix more at a time for later use. For spot-printed spot color inks, the remaining ink can be used to blend other spot colors.
Do not discard four-color ink or spot color ink
For the primary color ink (especially the yellow ink easy string color) or the spot color ink which affects the printing effect due to the cross color of the machine, do not discard it casually, and it can be adjusted into a special color ink, and the printing grade is low, and the layout pattern is small (because there may be ink) skin).
For the remaining spot color ink used by the machine, it should be recycled in time and marked for future use.
Reasonable procurement, rational allocation, avoiding waste
The shelf life of ink is generally 2-3 years, and the shelf life of gold (silver) ink is 1 year. Therefore, the ink should be purchased reasonably according to the printing conditions of the factory, and the nearest factory ink should be purchased as much as possible. For some business services that are suddenly interrupted, many special color inks will be left. In the case that the goods cannot be returned, in order not to cause ink backlog, when other special color inks are prepared, these inks should be used as much as possible according to the basic principle of color matching during the warranty period. Use it to avoid waste.
Diligently inked when printing, adding new ink
This can ensure the ink is evenly inked, ensure the quality of the product, and also prevent the ink crust in the ink fountain and the ink tank from drying and causing waste.
