Recently, Martini has introduced a new generation of Quick Setup binding heads, which are not only shorter in setup time, easier to operate, but more precise in binding. It can make saddle stitching more efficient. The increased automation of postpress equipment helps companies improve their competitive advantage. In the post-press processing process, higher market speed and shorter preparation time are very necessary for the enterprise, especially when the printing business has a long, medium and short version of the business. The same is true for saddle stitching. Martini replaced the previous product with a new generation of Quick Setup binding heads, which further improved the speed of saddle stitching. This new generation of binding heads not only has better binding quality, but also has shorter preparation time and easier operation.
Fast wire wear
The new generation of Quick Setup saddle stitching heads can be used to retrofit older Martini saddle stitching equipment, offering a range of innovative solutions. For example, with a quick locking pin, the binding head can be quickly and easily installed into a stapler. The innovative binding wire coil allows the binding wire to be threaded quickly and through the cutter head, allowing the operator to complete the operation with one hand, even without the need for any auxiliary tools.
The arrangement of the control parameters can be done at the front end of the binding head, which improves the efficiency of the operation. The entire binding head can be mounted using a conventional wrench. At the same time, other functions, including positioning and preparation of the binding wire, wire bending leg length and wire length, can be tuned with the same tools. Gear adjustment and reproducible rule settings ensure the ultimate binding accuracy, while modern wire presetting and braking systems make the binding process more stable. Thereby, it is also ensured that the binding wire can maintain a consistent length at any binding speed.
Significantly reduce material waste
The patented ceramic splint also contributes to the increase in productivity, which is twice the service life of conventional steel splints. The new binding head can use a thinner #27/0.45mm binding wire, which is equivalent to a 1/3 reduction in material usage (by weight).

When binding a particularly thick product, a pop-up calibration roller is also used on the device to apply adjustable pressure to the product at the front end of the binding head to ensure uniform service. This also enables the processing of large parts of the product to be taken and processed correctly.
