What is the color performance? The following is an analysis of four familiar digital presses: Canon CLC 5100, Xerox DocuColor 8000, Konica Minolta Bizhub C500 and Océ CPS900.

    Fogra test standard

    The test standard is based on Fogra's requirements: good sample quality requirements, the rules are as follows:

    • Drift of full-color patches: After 24 hours of testing, the printing for 30 consecutive minutes must be maintained in the previous standard within the range of color difference ΔE≦1.

    Repeatability test: Other non-full version of the tone belongs to the primary color CMYK or the secondary color RGB should be maintained within the range of ΔE≦1.5.

    When using the Ugra Fogra Media Wedge CMYK V2.0 (46 color patches) guide to test:

    ·The average value of all color blocks must be △E≦4

    ·Maximum color difference △E≦10

    ·CMY three primary colors △E≦3

    ·The color difference of simulated paper white △E≦3

    Konica Minolta Bizhub ProC500

    The C500 is a digital press that is set to be mass-produced in the office. The paper can be from 64-256gsm. If you need to print on both sides, the paper can only go to 209gsm. Its speed is about 51.5 sheets per minute at A4. The resolution is 600X600dpi.

    Canon CLC 5100

    The CLC 5100 is a digital press that is mass-produced in the office. The paper can be from 64-256gsm. If you need to print on both sides, the paper can only reach 163gsm. Its speed is about A4, 51 per minute.

    Océ CPS900

    Océ CPS900 paper can be from 75-250gsm, and if you need to print on both sides, the paper can still reach 250gsm. Its speed is about A4 per minute. The resolution is 600X2400dpi.

    Xerox DocuColor8000

    The Docu Color 8000 is a modification of many parts from the DC6060. For example, the important plastic parts are changed to metal materials, the more automated structure, the paper feeding is improved, and the paper jam is reduced. Paper can be from 60-300gsm, if you need to print on both sides, the paper can only reach 220gsm. Its speed is about A4 per minute (this speed is for paper 60-135gsm). The resolution is 2400X2400dpi.
