Buffer packaging, in order to protect the goods in the process of circulation, is not damaged by shock and vibration, the package is called buffer damping package. The goal of the buffer packaging design is to have the optimal cushioning efficiency of the buffer system to minimize the amount of cushioning material required to meet packaging protection requirements. The whole of the product, the cushioning material, and the packaging container is called a cushioning packaging system.
From the perspective of cushioning packaging materials, the following types are commonly used:
1.EPS
EPS has become a cushioning material widely used in modern times due to its good cushioning performance and vibration absorption performance. EPS has the advantages of light weight, easy processing, good protection performance, wide adaptability, and low price. However, it also has the disadvantages of large volume, natural weathering of waste, and harmful gases generated by incineration. The environmental damage caused by EPS in the case of serious environmental pollution and lack of natural resources has attracted great attention. Therefore, foam will gradually be replaced by other environmentally friendly cushioning materials.
2.EPE
EPE pearl cotton is a kind of environmentally-friendly foaming material with cushioning and shock resistance. It is soft, light and flexible. It can absorb and disperse the external impact force by bending, which overcomes the fragility, deformation and recovery of ordinary styrofoam. The disadvantage of poor sex. At the same time, EPE has a series of superior use characteristics such as heat preservation, moisture proof, sound insulation, anti-friction, anti-aging and corrosion resistance. Add special materials, EPE pearl cotton, with outstanding anti-static properties. It is also an environmentally friendly material that can be recycled. 3. Paper cushioning packaging material
The use of paper cushioning packaging materials has a long history. However, due to the price and performance advantages of EPS, the development of paper cushioning packaging materials has been limited. In recent years, serious environmental pollution has prompted people to turn their attention to the development of environmentally friendly cushioning packaging materials. Paper cushioning packaging materials are one of them. Currently, more paper cushioning materials used on the market are corrugated cardboard and honeycomb paperboard. In particular, honeycomb paperboard is an environmentally friendly paper cushioning packaging material with good performance.
4. Pulp molding
Pulp molding uses pulp (or waste paper) as the main raw material, which is obtained by disintegrating pulping and seasoning, then injecting into a mold to form and dry. The raw materials of the products are abundant, the production and use process are pollution-free, the product is light in weight, the compressive strength is large, the cushioning performance is good and the recyclability is good. Pulp molded products are developing rapidly in China, but due to their limited strength, they are currently only used in buffer packaging of small electronic products, fruits, eggs, etc., and cannot be used for buffer packaging of heavier products.
