2, dirty version
In the design of gravure printing layout, it should also be noted that if there is a large area of white bottoming, it is best not to design a special light black, blue, red and other hanging nets before and after the whitening direction. Otherwise, it will be printed. The phenomenon of “white with dirty” appears, and it is also called “scratch” in the printing industry.
3, overprint accuracy
The imprinting accuracy of gravure printing can only reach 0.2mm, so the characters and graphics (especially text) with strokes less than 0.4mm can't be printed by multi-color superposition. It can only be printed with a single ink, otherwise it is easy to cause ghosting (overprinting) Not allowed) phenomenon.
Small texts and patterns should be printed in a single-color hollow. It is not advisable to use multi-color superimposed hollow printing. It is also not possible to use the background color of the photo to directly stencil the printing. For small texts and patterns, it is not suitable to use the text pattern to hollow out the overprinting text pattern. Pay attention to the size of the text and the thickness of the stroke.
Too small text and too thin strokes may not be printed, and there are often printing failures that are broken or even missing. Too small text, if the strokes are too dense and too thick, or the plates are too deep, it is easy to appear "paste" phenomenon.
The transfer performance of gravure printing is not as good as lithography, and there is a problem of blocking. Generally, it should avoid using 10% or less. In particular, the ground color of a large area should avoid too shallow dots, otherwise the dot reproduction will not be good, and it is easy to cause uneven color and discoloration. Even if it is printed at the beginning, it is too light to be affected by the wear of the plate roll during the printing process, which affects the hue, and the printing plate has a low print durability. Large-area light colors are recommended for spot color printing.
4, expand shallow
When a text pattern is completely nested with another text pattern, the light text pattern should be expanded to an appropriate size (typically 0.2mm-0.4mm) to overlap with the darker text pattern, otherwise during the printing process. It is easy to reveal the background color at the joint.
As for how much the expansion is related to the color, if the two colors are opposite colors, the overlapping portions produce black lines, which affect the appearance and should be expanded as little as possible.
5, the setting of the spot color plate
Trademarks, shallow mesh overprinting, over-color, small characters (characters below the 5th character), small five-star patterns, large-area backgrounds, special effects, etc., many color purity, very bright colors and some fluorescent colors, transparent Special colors such as color, gold, and silver must be printed with a spot color. In this case, a special color plate roller must be used for printing. Due to the coarser particles, etc., pearlescent inks, gold inks and silver inks are generally not suitable for hanging shallow web printing.
6, color order arrangement
Generally, the color is printed from dark to light, and the surface is printed with a light color and a dark color. The two seem to be different. Actually, the order of the human eyes is exactly the same, that is, the first thing to see is dark. For color printing with photos, the three primary colors should be printed continuously. Do not pinch the spot colors in them. Otherwise, it is not conducive to the overprinting of the three primary colors and the fusion of the layers of ink. The printed photo will be inferior to the color sequence of plastic gravure printing. For K, special 1, special 2, special 3, C, M, Y, K.
Special products can be specially treated, gold is usually placed in the first or second color, and silver is usually placed in the last color (can be placed elsewhere according to special needs). Spot colors (especially large-area background colors) are generally placed between black and blue, which allows a large area of the underlying color to pass through more printing units, ensuring that the ink layer is sufficiently dry, which helps to reduce solvent residue. Of course, it can be placed in other positions for special needs. For example, some layouts have dark lines on the special background, so the background color must be placed after C (blue), M (red), and Y (yellow) colors.
7, the sharing of the plate
In order to save costs, most of the same series of products will have a shared version, which pages can be shared? In general, to determine whether a plate can be shared, consider the following factors:
When the white version is shared, consider whether the shape of the cutout is the same, whether the white is made under the light spot of the bag.
When the silver version is shared, it depends on whether there is a small silver word, whether the shape of the border line is consistent, and whether the color sequence of each set is consistent. The common version also requires that the color serial numbers are the same. The lower edge of the first color standard block is aligned with the lower edge of any one of the light spots, and the layout, the length of the plate, and the pattern must be the same.
8, the design principle of vertical and horizontal patterns
Special attention should be paid to avoiding the pattern and lines being too dense at a certain position in the longitudinal direction. Otherwise, the position will be violent when the printing is wound up, and the pressure will be large, causing the ink to be sticky. In this case, the method of moderately hanging the net can be used to reduce The thickness of the ink layer. If the designer does not consider the errors in the bag making and slitting process, it will make the bag making and slitting difficult.
The circumference of the composite bag should be designed to be similar or transparent. If the contrast between the upper and lower sides of the packaging bag or the coil is large, there will be a significant contrast in the imposition after the longitudinal and horizontal imposition. Since the cutting of the bag making machine, the slitting machine and the automatic packaging machine can not be absolutely accurate, generally there is a deviation of ±1 mm or more, so that the produced bag or the slit film can be cut at the cutting place. There is a line with a large contrast, which affects the appearance.
For high-strength composite bags and retort pouches, in order to improve the strength and protect the ink layer, it is recommended that the color of the composite bag is not printed. For a large-area background color, in the design without a transparent edge, the plate-making process must consider the expansion of both sides by 1 mm - 2 mm after the imposition. In this way, in the process of slitting and bag making, even if there is a deviation, transparent edges or aluminum foil or aluminum-plated edges do not appear.
9, cut tracking line settings
The detection line width is generally 2mm, generally set to black or spot color, preferably dark.
If the large-area background is lighter, the text version or the pattern has no obvious vertical contrast edge, you need to add the tracking line. Otherwise, the semi-finished volume cannot be cut and tidy.
10, bleeding and weekly add
If the horizontal dimension of the pattern exceeds 600mm, the overall bleeding should be considered. In addition, the white coated composite products are printed with gold and silver edges (the electric eye cursor is pressed on the gold and silver edges), and the gold and silver border patterns need to consider bleeding and bleeding on both sides. Mm-1mm (usually 1mm plus), so as to avoid the white edge of the silver edge due to slight deviation during the slitting process. Similarly, if the electric eye cursor is pressed against a large area of the background color, the large area of the background color should also consider bleeding, and the bleeding situation is similar to the gold and silver side bleeding.
