With a total investment of 349 million, Hengfeng Paper's green printing project officially starts construction
On the morning of May 15, the groundbreaking ceremony for the green printing project of the second phase of Hengfeng Paper's green packaging paper products processing project was successfully held.
At the ceremony, Yin Jianjun, the Printing Director of Hengfeng Paper, gave a project introduction and statement. As a provincial key project, the green printing project has a total investment of 349 million yuan, a total land area of approximately 43,700 square meters, and a total construction area of about 29,300 square meters, with a designed annual production capacity of up to 800,000 boxes of cigarette labels. The project plans to put part of the capacity into operation by the end of 2026 and complete all construction work and reach full production and efficiency by June 2027. Once fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of over 354 million yuan, an average annual total profit of about 30 million yuan, and pay nearly 5 million yuan in annual income tax, while directly creating around 300 jobs. It not only accumulates strong momentum for the company to strengthen its main business and improve quality and efficiency, but also effectively supports local employment stability, expands income channels, and contributes to the steady development of the regional economy.
Zhang Zhi, Executive Vice President of China Haicheng, delivered a speech on behalf of the project's general contracting unit. She stated that this project is a key layout for Hengfeng Paper in expanding from 'cigarette series paper' to 'supporting the cigarette packaging industry chain.' It is an important practice in promoting the intelligent, green, and integrated development of the industry, fully demonstrating Hengfeng Paper's strategic vision and industry responsibility. China Haicheng and the Wuhan company will fully leverage their technical advantages in the engineering field, establish a 'multi-party coordination and full-process transparency' project management system, ensure comprehensive control over the project's safety, quality, and progress, and make the project an industry benchmark demonstration, injecting strong momentum into the sustainable development of Hengfeng Paper.
Liang Dequan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hengfeng Group, delivered a speech. He stated that the Phase II green printing project of the green packaging paper products processing project under construction is a key measure for Hengfeng to align with development trends and address development shortcomings. The project focuses on the tobacco packaging printing sector and represents an important step for Hengfeng to extend downstream into high value-added terminals and improve the industrial chain. Once completed, the project will further connect the complete chain of 'specialty paper base-green printing-packaged products,' achieving integrated supply from paper to packaging, effectively filling the gap in tobacco packaging printing business, and significantly enhancing product added value and market core competitiveness. This project is not only a crucial support for Hengfeng to leverage its specialty paper technology advantage to enter the high-end packaging sector and accelerate green, low-carbon transformation, but also an important milestone for achieving the strategic leap from 'paper manufacturing' to 'paper manufacturing, printing, and packaging.'
