With a total investment of 3.5 million USD, the project is expected to be fully operational by early next year.

Recently, visiting the Xieyi plot at 169 Zhenkai Road in Zhangyan Industrial Park, the new factory of Shanghai Zhutian Packaging & Printing Technology Co., Ltd. is bustling with renovation activity.

Workers are systematically carrying out tasks like ceiling installation, air conditioning setup, wall painting, wiring, and fire sprinkler arrangement. Inside the factory, the functional areas such as the office space, standardized production workshop, and finished goods warehouse are basically laid out, giving the production base its initial shape.

This project has an annual output of 131.5 million color boxes and 1.7 million square meters of cartons. It's a high-quality project introduced by Zhangyan Town to revitalize inefficient land and implement the "bird-swap cage" precise investment attraction strategy. The total factory area is 9,352 square meters with a total investment of 3.5 million USD, including 2.5 million USD in fixed assets and 1 million USD in supporting working capital.

Since starting internal renovations on-site in June this year, the project's renovation work has been progressing in an orderly way. The plan is to complete indoor decoration by mid-September, install and debug large-scale printing equipment in October, and run trial production, aiming for full formal production by early 2027.

Once the project is fully operational, it's expected to generate annual sales of 93 million RMB, annual taxes of no less than 7.88 million RMB, and create 80 to 100 jobs, effectively boosting local employment and injecting new foreign capital momentum into Zhangyan's industrial economic growth and fiscal quality and efficiency enhancement.

Japanese-funded Enterprise,

Building a Cross-Border Collaborative Production System

It is understood that Shanghai Takeda Packaging & Printing Technology Co., Ltd. is a foreign-funded enterprise wholly funded by Japan's Takeda iP Holdings Co., Ltd., specializing in the packaging and printing field for more than twenty years. Its main businesses include industrial packaging, food packaging, automated packaging, as well as the development and design of packaging machinery and environmental protection machinery, and import-export trade. The company holds 5 utility model patents for packaging equipment and 7 software copyrights, demonstrating mature technology R&D and large-scale production capabilities.

Shanghai Takeda Packaging & Printing Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2003. Its current factory space can no longer meet the needs of business expansion. Since last year, the company team has explored various towns in Jinshan to select a production base and finally settled on Zhangyan Industrial Park.

"Our core clients are concentrated around Pinghu, Zhejiang. Zhangyan is located at the Shanghai-Zhejiang border and is close to the Jiangsu-Zhejiang market, which can significantly reduce transportation costs. At the same time, the park has complete overall facilities and high industrial agglomeration, which perfectly fits our development plan," said Takahashi Kazuo, Chairman of Shanghai Takeda Packaging & Printing Technology Co., Ltd.

According to reports, the company has already set up overseas factories in Thailand in 2024 and plans to build a new printing base in Jinshan Zhangyan in 2026. In the future, it will coordinate production and technical resources across China, Thailand, and Japan to establish a multinational collaborative production system, flexibly responding to changes in domestic and international markets.

"Next, we will continue to revitalize inefficient land, optimize full-cycle enterprise services, and leverage existing assets to attract high-quality projects in advanced manufacturing and new materials. We aim to continuously strengthen Zhangyan's real economy and boost the town's high-quality economic development through industrial capacity upgrades," said Huang Xudong, deputy mayor of Zhangyan Town.
