The Guangxi Printing Association organized a special survey on the digital and intelligent transformation development of printing enterprises during the 15th Five-Year Plan
In order to implement the National Press and Publication Administration's "Three-Year Action Plan for the Digitalization of the Printing Industry (2025–2027)" and the Guangxi 15th Five-Year Plan outline on promoting the digital empowerment of cultural construction and information technology transformation, to fully understand the current status of the digital and intelligent transformation of the printing industry in Guangxi, address the pain points and difficulties in industrial upgrading, and promote the digital, intelligent, and integrated development of the printing industry, the Guangxi Printing Association research team conducted a special survey on the digital and intelligent transformation development of printing enterprises during the 15th Five-Year Plan. From late April to May 13–27, the team visited 14 printing enterprises in Nanning, Guilin, Yulin, Hezhou, and other locations to accurately investigate the baseline of industry transformation, identify development bottlenecks, and plan high-quality development strategies for printing enterprises.
During the survey, Zhou Sansheng, second-level inspector of the Publicity Department of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and president of the Guangxi Printing Association, led the research team with a problem-oriented approach. They visited the production frontlines of Guangxi Ethnic Printing & Packaging Group Co., Ltd., Guangxi Guichuan Ethnic Printing Co., Ltd., Guangxi Geological Printing Co., Ltd., Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government Printing Center, Guangxi Nanning Marriott Jiaxin Paper Co., Ltd., Guangxi Zhaotai Zilong Color Printing Co., Ltd., Nanning Caipa Paper Products Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hongcan Printing Services Co., Ltd., Guangxi Zhengtai Printing & Packaging Group Co., Ltd., Yulin Rongfeng Printing Materials Co., Ltd., Guangxi Zhenlong Color Printing & Packaging Co., Ltd. Hezhou Branch, Guangxi Guangda Printing Co., Ltd., Guangxi Fangda Printing Group Co., Ltd., and Guilin Yiyu Printing & Packaging Co., Ltd., conducting on-site inspections of intelligent production lines and digitally controlled workshops. They held discussions with enterprise leaders and key technical personnel to listen to situations regarding production operations, digital construction, intelligent equipment updates, talent cultivation, and industrial chain collaboration. They also understood the restrictive factors enterprises face in technology, funding, talent, and solution adaptation during the digital and intelligent transformation process, and explored the development path for the digital and intelligent transformation of Guangxi printing enterprises.

Through research, it has been understood that currently, leading enterprises in the industry such as Guangxi National Printing & Packaging Group Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Zhenlong Color Printing & Packaging Co., Ltd. are vigorously promoting digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading. By introducing intelligent production equipment and establishing digital management systems such as ERP and MES, they have achieved digitalized operations across the entire process of production, quality inspection, management, and delivery, and the development of digital and intelligent transformation has achieved significant results. However, the problem of uneven industry development is quite prominent. For example, some printing companies have insufficient understanding of digital and intelligent transformation and lag in their transformation steps; some printing companies face financial shortages, lack of talent, and insufficient motivation to transform; while some printing companies focus on equipment updates, the construction of intelligent management systems is weak, and full-chain digital and intelligent collaboration has not yet been formed.

In response to the difficulties and shortcomings in digital and intelligent transformation development, during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the Guangxi Printing Association will continue to play the role of a bridge and link, actively coordinating with government departments, research institutions, and industry enterprises, facilitating the implementation of policies, enabling technology, and matching supply and demand. It will target the resolution of industry transformation challenges, fully promote the shift of industry management from 'experience-driven' to 'data-driven,' and drive industry development from single-equipment upgrades to comprehensive, systematic digital and intelligent transformation, supporting the high-quality development of Guangxi's printing industry.
