Recently, the Fengyuan Tenaiwang Green Heavy-Duty Packaging Project officially entered the trial production phase, marking the successful launch of the project after going through multiple key stages including planning, construction, installation, and commissioning. This project is a joint venture between Fengyuan Group and Tenaiwang China Group, and it is the group's first externally cooperative project to achieve mass production. The project fully leverages the group's strengths in energy and the paper industry, along with Tenaiwang's accumulated technical capabilities and market channels in the heavy-duty corrugated packaging sector, to manufacture and produce heavy-duty corrugated boards, cartons, and other paper products. The smooth trial production effectively connects the upstream paper industry with the downstream application market, promotes efficient resource recycling and industrial synergy, provides a critical support link for the group's circular economy industrial chain, fills the industry gap from basic paper raw materials to end green packaging, and holds significant importance for promoting local circular economy development.

Scientific Planning: Focusing on the Core Heavy Packaging Business and Precisely Layout the Industrial Blueprint

Fengyuan Group's cooperation with Tenaiwang began in the first half of 2023. Through business opportunities in the paperboard sector, the group learned that Tenaiwang holds a leading market position in the heavy packaging field, with revenue and profit ranking among the top in China's paper packaging industry. Its parent company, Japan United Corporation, is the largest paper products group in Asia, with extensive industries and strong capabilities, having been deeply involved in the Chinese market for many years with six production bases operating steadily. The group itself oversees fundamental industry sectors such as paper manufacturing, electricity, and thermal energy. The two parties have significant cooperation potential in the production and sale of packaging paper, complementing each other's resources.

The project is personally led and fully guided by the group's senior management. With the help and support of the municipal and district committees and relevant departments, over more than a year, from initial intention to due diligence, from negotiation to contract signing, and from site selection to construction, the two sides conducted multiple mutual visits and in-depth consultations. They gradually resolved and reached key agreements on the cooperation model, joint venture method, construction approach, and market channels. In May 2024, the project cooperation agreement was signed, and by July of the same year, Fengyuan Tenaiwang (Shandong) Packaging Co., Ltd. was officially established with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, marking the official launch of the largest single high-end heavy corrugated packaging investment project in our city's paper packaging industry.

From the project's inception, it has adhered to the principles of "environmental priority, energy efficiency, and market orientation," with comprehensive and scientific planning. The project team conducted in-depth research on domestic and international heavy packaging industry trends and, in combination with the upstream and downstream supply chain needs of the paper industry, focused on key challenges such as wood packaging, environmental protection, and recyclability. The project aims to produce high-strength, lightweight, and recyclable alternatives to wood and plastic heavy packaging products, which can be widely applied in machinery manufacturing, chemical industry, building materials, logistics, and other fields.

For site planning, the project is set to be constructed in the new material storage area of the group's circular economy industrial park. The location is adjacent to the paper manufacturing and power sectors, as well as the cooperative logistics park, offering a superior geographical position and convenient transportation, taking full advantage of nearby raw material supply, logistics, and policy support to achieve coordinated development along the industrial chain. In terms of process planning, internationally advanced energy-saving and environmentally friendly production technologies are introduced, adopting green processes such as recycled paper utilization and water-based eco-friendly printing, creating a small-cycle model within the park to reduce energy consumption and pollutant emissions. Regarding production capacity, the project will be implemented in phases. Phase one is designed to produce 60 million square meters of heavy corrugated packaging products annually, with space reserved for phase two expansion, ensuring the project grows in step with market demand.

Craftsmanship Construction: Strictly Control Project Quality to Solidify a Strong Foundation

The joint venture operates with a light-asset model, with Yuanhang Coal Industry investing in the construction of standardized industrial plants, which are then leased to the joint venture at market prices after completion. The joint venture is responsible for equipment procurement, installation, and production operations, with profits distributed equally per share, sharing both benefits and risks. As a key construction project of the group, the first phase of the standardized plant for the Fengyuan Special Alloy Wang project has adhered to the philosophy of 'quality first, safety and efficiency, and pursuit of excellence,' fully advancing the construction. After signing the memorandum of intent, the group immediately set up a task force for all elements of the project, with the group's main responsible leaders serving as team leaders, leading by example and fully supporting the joint venture with due diligence, business inspections, and other full-process services. Multiple special meetings were held to resolve obstacles to cooperation, scientific market research, project demonstrations, preliminary design, and other studies were conducted, resulting in tens of thousands of words of materials such as feasibility studies, product selection analysis, project implementation plans, market investigation reports, and implementation schedules. With professional and high-quality services, the joint venture experienced the strength and integrity of Fengyuan Group as a local state-owned large enterprise group. On March 17, 2025, with the concern and support of the local party committee and government, the project quickly overcame land-use constraints. The engineering project team set up by Yuanhang Coal Industry, strictly following the planning and design scheme, developed a detailed construction schedule, reversed the timeline, and implemented the project using visual management, clarifying responsibilities and time nodes for each construction stage. For the project design, a leading domestic light industry design institute with extensive experience took charge; for construction team selection, contractors with rich experience were recruited to form a professional construction team; for material procurement, high-quality, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly materials meeting national standards were selected to ensure project quality from the source. During construction, faced with complex geological conditions, tight schedules, overlapping work, high summer temperatures, and abnormal autumn rainfall, group leaders personally directed and deployed the project on-site, coordinating design, construction, and supervision, establishing daily scheduling and weekly progress meetings, and promptly addressing construction challenges. The supervision unit was present on-site throughout, strictly implementing the 'three-check system' (self-inspection, mutual inspection, handover inspection) to focus on key stages such as foundation construction, main structure, and pipeline installation, ensuring that the project met design standards and industry norms. Additionally, construction site safety management was strengthened, safety responsibilities were implemented, construction personnel received enhanced training, on-site inspections were conducted, safety hazards were identified and mitigated, ensuring zero accidents and high-quality project advancement. Through the tireless efforts of all builders, the approximately 35,000-square-meter first phase of the standardized plant and equipment foundation were delivered ahead of schedule by the end of June, with equipment installation, piping, fire protection, power supply, and steam supply completed in early September. The construction speed of the project has set new records for the group's industrial plant projects, creating favorable conditions for subsequent equipment installation.

Precise Installation: Efficient Collaborative Operations Accelerate Equipment Commissioning

As the only production base in the northern region, the project deeply absorbs the previous successful experience of other secondary factories of Tri-Wang, both the layout of the production line and the selection of equipment are designed according to the highest standards of AAA heavy-duty corrugated products, and fully consider the parallel operation needs of the surrounding ordinary five-layer and seven-layer mid-to-high-end cardboard business in the future. The two sides attach great importance to the design and selection of equipment, jointly set up an equipment team, investigated more than 10 paper bag faucets and modern secondary factories, and more than 10 existing bases of Triking, inspected more than 20 leading seven-layer production lines and auxiliary equipment factories in China, and entrusted the group to jointly fund the professional bidding and procurement of Yuanhang Logistics Company, which lasted more than 6 months, and successively organized 7 public bidding sessions for the main production line, printing machine, logistics system, auxiliary equipment, etc., which solved the problem of different procurement concepts of cooperative projects jointly funded and procured large and medium-sized production equipment. It ensures the compliance and cost economy of the procurement process, and achieves the leading level of domestic equipment to match the 2500mm/260m/min high-speed intelligent seven-layer heavy-duty corrugated cardboard production line produced by AAA heavy-duty corrugated cardboard, Asia's largest super-giant 2255 printing and die-cutting machine, the first ink separation equipment applied in China, and the first base paper logistics system in the industry, flattening and flattening linkage line and supporting back-end box making and other more than 30 sets of equipment and equipment were delivered and installed on schedule in June this year.

Equipment installation is a key link in the promotion of the project, which is directly related to the progress of the project commissioning and subsequent production efficiency. The project introduces advanced corrugated cardboard production lines, heavy-duty carton forming machines, environmental protection printing equipment and other core equipment at home and abroad, with high technical content and strict installation accuracy requirements. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the installation work, the project team formulated a detailed equipment installation plan in advance, organized technicians and installation workers to conduct special training, and was familiar with the equipment performance and installation process. In the installation stage, the mode of "group responsibility, cross-operation, and precise coordination" is adopted to decompose the equipment installation tasks into various professional groups and clarify the installation standards and completion time limits. Equipment manufacturers and technicians work on site throughout the whole process to coordinate and solve technical problems such as equipment positioning, pipeline connection, and accuracy calibration; The installation workers work in strict accordance with the operating procedures and strive for excellence to complete each installation step. All departments work closely together to coordinate and promote equipment transportation, hoisting, positioning, commissioning and other work to ensure that the equipment installation and plant supporting facilities are seamlessly connected. In view of the difficulty of transporting large equipment and the high requirements for installation accuracy, the project team planned the transportation route in advance, selected professional lifting equipment, and organized special personnel to monitor the whole process to ensure the safety and accuracy of the equipment. After the hard work of all the construction personnel day and night, all the equipment was installed as planned, laying a solid foundation for the commissioning and production of the project.

Fine debugging: strictly control technical parameters to ensure stable production operation

Starting from early July, over a period of nearly three months, the main equipment installation project was fully completed across the entire line by the end of September. After the equipment installation, the project quickly entered the commissioning phase, aimed at thoroughly testing equipment performance, optimizing production processes, and identifying potential issues to provide a reliable guarantee for trial production. The commissioning team, composed of technical backbones, equipment manufacturer engineers, and frontline operators, developed a 'subsystem, step-by-step, full-process' commissioning plan, progressing from single-machine commissioning to coordinated system commissioning. During the single-machine commissioning phase, the operating parameters, mechanical performance, and electrical systems of each device were thoroughly tested, with issues such as unusual noises, jams, and unstable parameters identified and promptly addressed. In the coordinated commissioning phase, the actual production processes were simulated to comprehensively test equipment coordination, material transfer, and process connections across the entire production line, optimizing production rhythm to ensure smooth collaboration at all stages. During commissioning, the team established detailed logs, recording equipment operation data, existing problems, and corrective measures, continuously optimizing technical parameters to improve equipment efficiency and product quality stability. At the same time, operators were involved in the commissioning process to become familiar with equipment operation procedures and troubleshooting methods, preparing personnel for the trial production phase. After multiple rounds of meticulous commissioning, the production line equipment operates stably, and all product indicators meet design standards, making the line ready for trial production.

Trial Production Launch: Empowering Industry with Green Initiatives and Writing a New Chapter of Development

With the successful completion of the debugging work, the project officially began trial production with material input on October 17 this year and successfully produced qualified cardboard in the first attempt. The project strictly adhered to production process requirements, reasonably allocated human and material resources, optimized production processes, and focused on testing the production line's continuous operation capability, product quality stability, and environmental compliance. During the one-month trial production with materials, according to the consensus reached by both parties on order transfer and trial production support, the Tena Wang Jiangsu Factory, Fuzhou Factory, and several third-tier factories in the northern region provided strong support and assistance for the project, sent professional teams for on-site guidance, and prioritized trial production to fulfill Tena Wang's joint venture brand automotive parts production orders.

In the trial production process, organized progressively according to three-layer, five-layer, seven-layer, AA, AAA principles, each staff member performed their duties and cooperated, strictly following operational procedures from raw material pretreatment, forming processing, to finished product inspection, packaging, storage, and shipment, ensuring product quality met customer requirements. As a result, the project successfully produced over 100,000 square meters of complete cardboard boxes that complied with national standards and met customer acceptance criteria.

At the same time, the group actively leveraged its own advantages to provide comprehensive support for the project's trial production. The paper manufacturing segment, based on the project's product characteristics and quality requirements, supplied multiple batches of #5 kraft paper from machine 5 and ZK high-strength corrugated base paper that meet national standards, not only expanding sales channels but also providing more differentiated raw materials for the project's products. The power segment, taking into account the heat requirements of the production line and overcoming the difficulty of low load intermittent usage during the trial production period, provided qualified heat sources as needed, ensuring safe and reliable energy use for the project. Group leaders paid close attention to business development, directly connecting with nearby and domestic lithium battery, steel cord, construction machinery, and other potential leading and listed companies for paper packaging demands, basically reaching potential intentions. The joint venture company is actively engaging in negotiations. Additionally, according to market planning, while installing equipment and conducting trial production, the joint venture company allocated design personnel and established a sales team to actively expand customers in the northern region, successfully developed business with 2 first-tier lithium battery brands, signed export orders for high-end agricultural products with 3 companies, followed up on applications with 1 electrical equipment manufacturer, and has potential intentions for more than 5 other AA and AAA cardboard businesses.

The successful trial production of the first phase of the heavy packaging project is an important achievement of the group's implementation of the new development concept and the promotion of industrial transformation and upgrading. This project, together with the Fengyuan Xinyi Micro-Corrugated Project, will build a full range of cardboard packaging products matrix of 'one thick, one thin, one heavy, one light,' laying a solid foundation for the group to accelerate chain supplementation, extension, and strengthening, and to create a full industrial system of 'energy, paper, packaging.' In the future, Fengyuan Tena Wang will take the trial production as an opportunity to continuously optimize production processes, improve product quality, and expand market share, aiming to build a leading domestic green heavy packaging production base and inject new vitality into regional high-quality economic development and the construction of a circular economy system.
