Siegwerk is an international supplier of printing inks for the packaging and labeling industry. The company recently signed a contract to acquire Ultra Inks.
Extreme Ink is a Canadian flexo ink supplier based in Boyce-Defi, Quebec, Canada, which specializes in the development of water-based flexo inks for narrow web and paper and board applications. Both companies agreed not to disclose any financial details about the acquisition to the outside world.

With this acquisition, Siegwerk will further expand its product line in the packaging and label printing sectors while strengthening its local strategy in the Canadian market.

The acquisition enables Siegwerk to significantly expand its local presence and build its infrastructure and workforce to achieve further growth throughout the region and across Canada.
Extreme Ink has been in the Canadian market for more than 20 years and is able to offer a complete range of high quality products. Siegwerk has a wide range of global reach, with better contact with international raw material suppliers and key customers, as well as powerful, complementary narrow-width rotary UV technology and ink products. The integration of Extreme Ink's ink products into Siegwerk's products will enable Extreme Ink customers to benefit from a more comprehensive product portfolio and broader technical expertise.

Before the acquisition of Extreme Ink, Siegwerk completed other strategic investments in the packaging market.
