MPS Systems North America became the first manufacturer of flexographic printing presses to print stamps using UV flexo presses.
This featured product is a 3.7x5.1 stamp sheetlet in the collector's edition, showing the magical effects of real life. When the stamp is rotated up and down, you can see a white rabbit crawling out of the empty hat and then magically disappearing.
The stamp features a digitally designed optical array illusion that is the rabbit magic in a traditional hat. Imageworx, of Levittown, Pa., uses its proprietary 3D label design technology, high-resolution imaging technology, and printing media to turn the original design into an animated multi-frame sequence. This UV flexo printing was printed using a 17-inch 10-color MPS EF 430 press. With very strict overprinting, the MPS press is able to print the entire (magic) process into an image, from beginning to end.
