Meteor Inkjet is an independent supplier of electronics and software for industrial inkjet printheads, and the company has recently moved to a new location in Harston Mill near Cambridge.
The move was accompanied by a doubling of sales of the company over the past two years, which was largely due to a healthy export market. In terms of sales, 98% of the company's products are exported to 20 countries around the world.

Meteor's new facility at Harston Mill is equipped with on-demand laboratories for R&D, testing and demonstration of electronics, software and components. The company has also expanded its team in China, Japan and the United States. It is also continuing to actively recruit talent.
Clive Ayling, general manager of Meteor Inkjet, said: "Our previous locations, office, lab and storage space were too crowded. We lacked enough room to accommodate a growing number of visiting customers."
Meteor Inkjet provides robust electronics and software to printer OEMs and printer system builders around the world. Meteor Inkjet has close working relationships with all printhead manufacturers, including Fujifilm Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Polytechnic, Seiko Instruments, Toshiba TEC and Xaar.
The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Graphics and was acquired by the latter from the TTP Group in late 2016. Global Graphics is a platform developer of digital inkjet printing and model design, supplying technology to leading manufacturing brands around the world such as HP, Canon, Ricoh, Mercedes-Benz and Siemens.
“In many ways, our expansion marks a new beginning, as we left the company's location 12 years ago created by the TTP Group and entered a new environment we designed to meet our specific needs,” Ayling added.
