Kodak Launches Kodak Prosper Plus 5 Printing System
Rochester, New York, October 5, 2026 - Kodak has launched the Kodak Prosper Plus 5 printing system, expanding the Prosper Plus product line to solutions running at 152 meters per minute (500 feet per minute). It allows existing presses and post-press lines to incorporate Kodak Stream inkjet technology. Designed for printers and converters, the Prosper Plus 5 enables variable data printing, coding, serialization, personalization, and versioning without replacing current equipment. It helps customers flexibly expand into higher-margin applications, respond faster to changing client needs, and generate new revenue from existing assets.
The Prosper Plus 5 features a 600 x 900 dpi resolution, flexible ink drop size options, and increased reliability. It's designed to support applications like direct mail, packaging, secure printing, lottery tickets, and personal care, helping printers leverage their existing production assets to take on higher-value jobs.
This brand-new inline printing system uses Stream technology and Kodak EKTACOLOR inks, combining image quality, speed, and ease of operation with the latest enhancements of the Prosper Plus platform. It's designed to improve maintainability, simplify connectivity, and maximize uptime in demanding production environments.
Kodak is also simplifying its current product lineup by renaming the Prosper Plus 1/1W and Prosper Plus 2/2W to Prosper Plus 10 and Prosper Plus 20, reflecting their production speeds of 305 meters/min (1,000 feet/min) and 609 meters/min (2,000 feet/min) respectively. Together with Kodak's Prosper wide printhead, the Prosper Plus series offers printers and converters scalable inline printing options. Existing Prosper S-Series customers will continue to receive full service support and have upgrade options depending on production needs.
Laura Cole, Kodak's VP of Pricing and Product Management, said, "This new addition to the Prosper product family reflects our ongoing investment and long-term commitment to the printing industry. With the Prosper Plus 5, Kodak is helping printers modernize their existing production assets, unlock new revenue opportunities, and deliver the personalization, traceability, and flexibility the market demands today."
