At the Epson printhead booth, six industrial series printheads were showcased, including the D3000-A1R/U1R, I1600-A1/E1/U1, I3200-A1/E1/U1, I3200(4)-A1-2/I3200(8)-A3, I3200(8)-A1HD/U1HD, and S3200-U1-2/U3-2. At the same time, the booth also displayed the printing application solutions corresponding to each printhead model. At the exhibition, Epson printheads became the 'star components' chosen by many manufacturers. Numerous equipment manufacturers, such as RunTianZhi and Prisco, showcased digital printers equipped with Epson printheads, fully demonstrating the innovative strength of domestic digital printing equipment.

Cai Shen Roc880 Reconstructs Book and Magazine Printing Capability

The Cai Shen series equipment equipped with Epson print heads has been widely applied in various niche markets and has gained recognition and trust from numerous industry clients.

According to Mr. Yu, the newly launched wide-format high-speed inkjet printer Roc880 from Run Tianzhi is the first domestic device to feature the Epson 1200dpi D3000-A1R print head. In offset paper printing scenarios, it can reach a maximum printing speed of 80m/min at 1200dpi resolution; for coated paper, the speed can reach up to 60m/min at 1200dpi (actual output depends on the printing media and settings). The maximum printing width is 916mm, and the minimum droplet size is 3pl. The D3000-A1R print head has nozzle-level circulation capabilities, ensuring stable long-term continuous production. Coupled with a 63kHz high-firing frequency, it enhances production speed while maintaining print quality, ink stability, and color reproduction. This device effectively addresses industry pain points such as insufficient print quality in traditional digital book printing, poor stability in high-speed printing, and excessive material consumption. It combines four key advantages-high-definition quality, high-speed production, stable operation, and eco-friendliness-providing a high-standard, efficient solution for on-demand publishing of premium books and short-run book printing.

When talking about the real value Roc880 can bring to customers, General Manager Yu said that the biggest advantage of this model is expanding business boundaries, connecting the "books & packaging" sectors. It mainly focuses on printing coated paper for books and pre-printing for packaging, allowing for versatile, multi-purpose production. This helps printing companies diversify their product lineup and build differentiated core competitiveness.

In the process of innovating and developing industrial inkjet equipment, the choice of print head directly determines the performance ceiling of the machine. When selecting print heads, Runtianzhi mainly focuses on four core aspects: first, print output quality, which is the most crucial factor; second, industrial-grade reliability and stable continuous production; third, the manufacturer's delivery capability and after-sales service support; and fourth, the potential for print head upgrades, matching Runtianzhi's ongoing product iteration pace. "Epson print heads happen to meet all four of these selection criteria, which is also an important foundation for our long-term cooperation," said General Manager Yu when discussing the logic behind choosing print heads.

Based on this rigorous selection standard, Runtianzhi has planned a long-term product layout. In the future, Runtianzhi will continue to focus on three core tracks: books, labels, and packaging. On one hand, it will keep iterating existing product lines, introducing AI technology to reduce manual intervention in the production process; on the other hand, and more importantly as a strategic direction, as more players enter the current tracks, Runtianzhi will proactively deepen its presence in the packaging niche market, expanding beyond existing paper packaging into soft and metal packaging segments.

However, entering the soft and metal packaging tracks still requires overcoming multiple technical challenges. Plastic materials generate a lot of static, which puts strict demands on the printhead's dust resistance; metal substrates are hard, and although printheads have high precision, their durability is still insufficient. Currently, Epson's D3000-A1R printhead has excellent basic performance but still needs adaptation and optimization for these two application scenarios. Runtianzhi has already started discussions with Epson on this, and both parties will explore more cooperation possibilities in the new soft and metal packaging tracks. "On the premise of product stability and cost-performance matching, Runtianzhi will prioritize using Epson printheads to achieve mutual collaborative innovation," said Mr. Yu, fully affirming Epson printheads.
