Dashengda Thailand Carton Plant

Oct 22, 2026 Leave a message

Dachengda's Thailand carton plant is planned to be completed in November and has already started initial contacts with some overseas clients.

Records of investor relations activities disclosed by Dashengda show that the company's carton production base in Thailand is actively expanding its customer reach: on one hand, it's following up on existing clients' business layouts in Southeast Asia, and on the other, it's reaching out to potential local clients. Currently, the company has already completed initial cooperation discussions with some overseas clients, laying the groundwork for business once the base is up and running.

For the carton industry, the highlight of this progress isn't just building overseas production capacity, but whether the new base can sync with customer needs, regional delivery, and localized operations.

Expanding Southeast Asian customers on two fronts

For existing clients, Dashengda said it will closely follow the key clients' business plans in Southeast Asia and ensure smooth support for local carton packaging services. For new clients, the company continues to conduct market research and business talks in the Southeast Asian local market, identifying regional packaging needs and building a pool of potential clients.

The company noted that initial cooperation discussions with some overseas clients have already taken place. While this lays the foundation for future business, it doesn't mean orders have been finalized yet.

Thailand base plans for an annual output of 50 million square meters of corrugated cartons

According to company disclosures, the total investment for the Thailand packaging carton production base is about 188 million yuan, with a planned annual output of 50 million square meters of corrugated cartons. The construction period is 12 months, with completion expected in November 2026. The company's 2026 semi-annual report states that as of the first half of the year, the main plant structure has been completed, auxiliary facilities and basic equipment installation are underway, and the procurement of key production equipment has been secured.

Dashengda focuses on the R&D, production, printing, and sales of corrugated cartons and paperboards. Extending production and service capabilities to Thailand is part of its localized strategy around overseas clients and the Southeast Asian market.

Overseas operations consider both compliance and market risks

For cross-border operations, Dashengda says it has set up a governance structure for its overseas subsidiaries and improved its overseas operations and compliance risk control system. In terms of staffing, it coordinates the deployment of key domestic personnel and the recruitment of local talent abroad to form a collaborative operations team.

The company is also paying attention to currency exchange and tariff changes, planning to use financial tools to manage exchange rate fluctuations based on market conditions. Localized production in Thailand helps reduce some tariff barriers and the impact of trade frictions, but it can't eliminate all related uncertainties.

From the perspective of the cardboard industry chain, setting up overseas factories is just the first step. Whether client connections can turn into stable orders still depends on whether the project is completed as scheduled and how the local production and delivery capabilities actually perform. The subsequent progress is something cardboard companies should keep an eye on.
