Standing Committee Member Huang Zhenguo led a team to Shanghai to study and connect with the gaming industry, leveraging cultural and creative IP to empower industrial upgrading
To seize the development opportunities in the cultural and creative industry and accelerate the deep integration and cross-sector upgrading of Longgang's traditional printing and packaging industry with the gaming, animation IP, and cultural derivative products sectors, on May 15, Huang Zhenguo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Longgang Municipal Party Committee, led representatives from the Municipal Industry Technology Group, the Municipal Printing and Packaging Industry Association, and 10 key enterprises under the Municipal Cultural Industry Promotion Association to conduct a targeted industrial study and connection visit in Nanxiang, Jiading, Shanghai. They visited Bingfeng Technology Park and Shanghai Jiufenban Enterprise, and through on-site research and discussions, they thoroughly connected with high-quality cultural and creative resources in Shanghai, jointly exploring new paths for collaborative industrial development between the two regions.

The delegation's first stop was Nanxiang Bingfeng Technology Park, where they conducted an on-site survey of the park's industrial layout, the concentration of enterprises, and the market-oriented operation model. They held in-depth discussions with the park platforms such as Shanghai Lantian Economic City, Bingfeng Technology, Dasheng Entertainment, and other leading resident enterprises, accurately identifying points of entry for industrial cooperation.

At the seminar, Zhu Gang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Lantian Economic City, provided a detailed introduction to the economic development of Nanxiang Town and the advantages of the game and cultural creative industry. It is reported that Nanxiang Town has a permanent population of 250,000, with the town's tax revenue reaching 10.3 billion yuan in 2025, and that games and animation are the town's core leading industries. Lantian Economic City is the main development platform for the local game industry. Since launching a special game industry investment initiative in 2009, it has now gathered over 25,000 registered game companies, with related industry tax contributions reaching 4.68 billion yuan by 2025. Among them, the Bingfeng Technology Park, which opened in 2023, has a total office area of 23,000 square meters, serving as the core carrier of Nanxiang Game Valley, a cultural and creative industry park in Shanghai, and a global ACG industry base. It has already attracted many high-quality industry institutions, including the Shanghai Animation Industry Association, Bingfeng Network, Junyu Network, Dasheng Interactive Entertainment, and Youqu Culture, showing a significant industrial agglomeration effect.

Huang Zhenguo provided the participating enterprises and platforms with a detailed introduction to the current state of urban development, industrial characteristics, and core advantages of Longgang. He focused on promoting Longgang's nationally leading printing and packaging industry cluster, its complete upstream and downstream supply chain system, and its mature large-scale production and manufacturing capabilities, expressing a strong desire to deepen industrial linkage and pragmatic cooperation between Shanghai and Longgang. He stated that Longgang possesses strong capabilities in printing, packaging, and cultural and creative product processing and manufacturing, while Shanghai Nanxiang gathers abundant core cultural and creative resources such as animation and game IP, original design, and content creation. The two regions have strong complementary resources and broad cooperation potential. It is hoped that both sides will focus on core areas such as peripheral products of game and animation IP, trendy cultural and creative products, and R&D and production of IP derivatives, carrying out precise and pragmatic cooperation, empowering the transformation and upgrading of Longgang's traditional printing industry with high-end cultural and creative resources, exploring new tracks in the cultural and creative industry, and activating new momentum for industrial development.

Subsequently, the delegation visited Jiufenban Enterprise in Shanghai for inspection and study, going deep into the company's production workshop and sample display area, closely observing the entire production process, core technological skills, and diverse application scenarios of Guzi cultural and creative products. They gained a detailed understanding of the company's core capabilities and industry advantages in cultural and creative ornaments, IP derivatives research and development, and customized production. During the exchange, the company's head, Yaoyao, shared in detail the company's development history and core competitive advantages, and, in conjunction with the current industry development situation, provided an in-depth interpretation of the development trends in the animation and cultural creative industry, systematically sharing experiences and operational ideas on IP derivative product development and personalized customized production.

During the discussion and exchange session, both sides conducted in-depth discussions around key topics such as improving the quality and efficiency of Longgang's printing and packaging industry, innovative development of cultural and creative derivatives, and leveraging IP resources to empower the real economy. It was agreed that Longgang has a solid foundation in the printing industry and a significant production capacity advantage, while Shanghai possesses resources in cultural and creative design, original IP, and game content creation. The two regions can deeply connect and complement each other, fully integrating the complete industry chain from 'IP design-craft research and development-printing production-market sales,' thereby empowering the iteration of Longgang's traditional industry and achieving resource sharing, mutual empowerment, and win-win outcomes between the two regions.
This Shanghai inspection and matchmaking activity has clarified ideas, pointed out directions, and expanded paths for the cross-industry integration and transformation upgrade of Longgang's printing and packaging industry. Going forward, Longgang will continue to deepen precise connections with Shanghai's cultural and creative enterprises and industry platforms, keep following up on high-quality cooperative projects, promote project implementation and results, continuously empower the traditional real economy with cultural and creative IP, and make every effort to improve industry quality and efficiency, facilitate transformation and upgrading, and contribute to the high-quality development of Longgang's urban industries.
