Amcor and Foggeni have partnered to launch recyclable wet wipes packaging
Amcor has partnered with Foggoni, a leading global wine label industry and a leading provider of paper for luxury packaging, to launch a "recyclable" flexible packaging for wet wipes that can be recycled in the PE plastic recycling process in Europe. According to reports, this new packaging combines Amcor's AmPrima Plus pillow packaging and Fojiegoni company's semi-rigid label technology, specifically for home care and personal care products of wet wipes packaging.

This mono-material packaging has three benefits: first, it helps brands save on environmental responsibility costs (EPR costs); second, reduce the amount of plastic used; Third, reduce carbon emissions. It should be noted that this wet wipes packaging has been certified as recyclable by both Recyclass and cyclos-HTP.
This can help brands reduce package weight by up to 15% compared to traditional multi-material packaging with rigid labels. Based on Amcor's Carbon Trust certified ASSET Life Cycle Assessment methodology, the carbon footprint of the new packaging has been reduced by up to 55%. The solution's weight-optimized design also helps brands save on EPR costs by up to 35%.
The partnership marks a major breakthrough for the home and personal care industry, accelerating the industry's transition to recyclable packaging, in line with regulations aimed at reducing packaging waste, such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, which aims to make all packaging on the EU market recyclable by 2030.
