13 months of mass production testing! The Komori J-Throne 29 new LED-UV inkjet printer was officially launched in the United States
Recently, Komori USA Company officially announced a deep partnership with 1Vision, a nationally renowned commercial printing and direct mail service provider, successfully completing a 13-month beta test of Komori's new LED-UV inkjet printer, the J-Throne 29. This testing lasted 13 months, and after successful completion, the model is now officially available across the United States.
The Komori J-Throne 29 is a B2 sheet-fed LED-UV inkjet printer with a size of 23×29 inches. In terms of capacity, the equipment can achieve a single-sided printing speed of up to 6000 sheets per hour, while double-sided printing maintains a stable speed of 3000 sheets per hour. This model is designed specifically for commercial printing, direct-mail products, specialty printing, and short packaging markets, combining Komori's decades of engineering expertise in offset printing with next-generation inkjet printing technology.
The equipment is currently installed at 1Vision's production facility in Houston, Texas, and has undergone comprehensive field testing under harsh commercial production conditions to verify its production efficiency, reliability, print quality, and versatility.

Throughout the entire testing period, 1Vision put the Komori J-Throne 29 directly into daily mass production, taking on various commercial print and direct mail print orders under a high-intensity production schedule. The entire test was carried out in a real production environment, thoroughly verifying the platform's capacity, stability, and print quality. The testing covered the performance of the machine's tray-fed feeder and delivery system, advanced paper transport system, duplex printing capabilities, Fiery® digital front-end, LED-UV curing system, and workflow integration.
At the same time, the test focused on verifying the consistency of print quality on both coated and uncoated substrates, optimizing job change efficiency, and integrating the production workflow with Komori's connected automation solutions.
During the testing period, R&D engineers and the front-line production team worked efficiently and closely together, continuously fine-tuning the machine's overall performance under real production conditions. Feedback from 1Vision operators and the production management team directly helped the manufacturer optimize software functions, mechanical performance, and the ink supply system, ultimately resulting in a mature, stable solution ready for direct production. Based on actual usage, the Komori J-Throne 29 is ready for commercial production, capable of meeting all current printer demands for speed, quality, and flexibility in next-generation B2 inkjet printing.
