At the end of the year, it was the peak season of advertising producers, and all major festivals and business promotion promotions brought a large number of orders to the advertising producers. Therefore, the inkjet printing equipment of the inkjet printing company often needs 24 hours of non-stop operation.
However, the low temperature in winter will have a certain impact on the nozzle, the core component of the inkjet printing device. If the technician does not pay attention to inspection and maintenance, it will affect the normal operation of the inkjet printing device and cause unnecessary loss.
So, what factors affect the sprinkler in winter, and how should we deal with it?
This article will sort out for you in detail.
Watch 01
Temperature effect
After the temperature is lowered, the nozzle is prone to "false plugging", that is, individual nozzles are "broken". This is because the same ink, the temperature is lowered, the viscosity becomes larger, the viscosity is too large, and it is prone to "broken wire" at high speed printing. After this phenomenon occurs, many people think that the nozzle is blocked, but after cleaning the nozzle, it will eliminate the phenomenon. However, after using the nozzle for a period of time, the above phenomenon will repeat itself, and many people will mistake it for ink quality problems.
When the temperature is lowered, ink absorption and drying problems also occur. If the temperature is too low, it is not conducive to the absorption of ink by the inkjet medium coating, and is not conducive to the evaporation of the ink solvent, which is easy to cause "stacking" phenomenon.
Watch 02
Effect of humidity
In winter, the temperature is low, the relative humidity is lower, and the air is drier. Drying can cause the ink to condense easily on the spray head, creating the illusion of "clogging the spray head"; in addition, the dry environment makes it easier to warp the material, especially PP paper. The material may touch the nozzle after it is crimped, which may cause damage to the nozzle and motor.
Watch 03
Static electricity and dust
Reduced relative humidity in winter can lead to an increase in static electricity and dust. Static electricity can have a very large impact on integrated circuits. Static electricity in winter is particularly prone to burnout of boards and nozzles.
Static electricity can also cause a drop in print quality. The inkjet printing media are mostly "insulated". If the inkjet printing device does not have good antistatic measures or there is no grounding wire, the ink droplets will be deflected due to static electricity, resulting in "Flying ink" or "splashing ink" phenomenon, the print quality will be seriously degraded.
In addition, dust in the air, including fibers on the inkjet material, is also likely to adhere to the surface of the material and further adhere to the surface of the nozzle under the action of static electricity, causing print quality problems.
In summary, due to the climate and some physical phenomena in winter, the probability of damage to the inkjet printing device nozzle is very large, so we must take precautionary measures, such as cleaning and maintenance of the equipment to ensure the proper temperature in the working area (20- 28 ° C) and humidity (40% - 70%).

How to wash and maintain?
The head of the flatbed printer is generally composed of 1,440 nozzles. The flatbed printer is generally 8 colors, 180 nozzles for one color, and 1440 nozzles for 8 colors. If dust, fine debris, etc. enter the nozzle, the nozzle will be blocked and the ink will not be ejected, and the nozzle panel will be easily stained by the ink. In addition, when air is introduced into the nozzle, ink ejection failure may occur. Therefore, the maintenance of the flatbed printer nozzle is very important, and should be done in daily maintenance:
(1) Do not remove the nozzle from the main unit and place it separately, especially in high temperature and low humidity. If it is left for a long time, the moisture contained in the ink will gradually evaporate, and the dried ink will cause the nozzle to clog. If the nozzle is clogged, a cleaning operation should be performed.
(2) Avoid hitting the nozzle surface with fingers and tools to prevent nozzle surface damage or debris, oil, etc. from clogging the nozzle. Do not blow air to the nozzle, do not put sweat, oil, drugs (alcohol), etc. on the nozzle, causing changes in the composition and viscosity of the ink, causing the ink to clog. Do not wipe the nozzle surface with tissue paper, lens paper, cloth, etc.
(3) It is best not to turn off the power while the printing device is in the printing state. The printer can be turned to the OFFLINE state, the power can be turned off after the nozzle cap, and the plug is finally removed. Otherwise, for some models of printers, the printer cannot perform capping operations, and exposure of the nozzle to dry air can cause the ink to dry out.
The methods for daily cleaning and maintenance of the nozzle are as follows:
1, cleaning nozzle
Software cleaning, automatic cleaning through the maintenance function in the printer driver;
Ink cleaning, when the ink car is in the initial position, use a syringe with a hose to connect to the waste ink tube, and extract about 5 ml of ink. Do not rebound the inner cylinder of the syringe, which will cause color mixing of each nozzle. In the process of ink extraction, if the nozzle of the nozzle is not tightly sealed, the ink tank can be lightly moved by hand to ensure a good seal of the nozzle and the nozzle protector. Software cleaning after ink extraction;
Injecting and cleaning, removing the ink cart, unplugging the ink bag, and connecting the syringe with the cleaning liquid to the ink needle of the nozzle, and pushing and withdrawing with appropriate pressure, and discharging the complete thin line vertically to the nozzle;
Print cleaning, replace the ink with the nozzle phenomenon by using the "head cleaning liquid", use the vector graphics software to print the color block of the color, until the nozzle is clogged, and replace it with the original ink.
2, maintenance nozzle
For used nozzles, if you need to stay idle for a long time, it is necessary to carry out professional maintenance on the nozzles.
Remove the nozzle from the printer in the correct way and clean the residual ink;
Thoroughly clean the nozzle with the nozzle cleaning solution;
Injecting a special nozzle maintenance agent into each ink needle of the nozzle;
Use a protective film to properly wrap the nozzle and load it into the nozzle box.
As long as you follow the above instructions, the problems caused by the nozzles can be solved!
