Faster
The so-called purple light source is a laser with a 400 nm spectrum, and the shorter the physical characteristic spectrum, the greater the energy of the light, so the purple light source is relatively similar to other commonly used CTP light sources such as green light (532 nm) and red light (830 or 1064 nm). The ability to have higher imaging speeds is based on the fact that the laser can stay on the plate for a shorter period of time and provide enough energy to stimulate the reaction of the film on the plate. With this feature, equipment manufacturers can increase the speed of scanning. The life of the laser is lost, and the operation mode of other lasers is to start the laser at the same time after the machine is turned on, causing unnecessary loss to the laser. At the same time, because similar lasers are also widely used in other industries (such as the commonly used DVD drive), they can be mass-produced to reduce costs due to the large amount of users, making the price of this light source lower than other CtP laser sources.
Through the above features, it is not difficult to understand why the purple laser technology can shake the thermal technology. In fact, CtP technology is still developing rapidly.
