Imposition tips

When packaging and printing factories make packaging cartons, the subsequent die-cutting of printed products is an important part of the production process. When the printing factory uses the flat-press automatic die-cutting machine for die-cutting, the edge of the carton is often not smooth after die-cutting, which naturally affects the appearance of the product more or less. The main reason that affects the aesthetics of the product is that when the die-cutting process is carried out on the flat-press automatic die-cutting machine, it is necessary to knock a few small mouths on the edge of the knife to smoothly pull the die-cut finished product out of the machine. The broken small opening is reflected in the box after the die cutting is that the edge is not smooth.

The solution is mainly to place the bond of the carton on the edge of the mouth in the imposition. After ingenious imposition, the appearance of the paper box for grinding and cutting will be very beautiful.

For the two or more products, the printing company generally uses two methods in the imposition. If the pattern between the two stitches can be seamlessly connected, you should use a one-size-fits-after-printing method instead of leaving a gap in the middle, because the paper-cut method can save paper and save the application of the mold. Conducive to the scrapping after die cutting, three wins. But if the pattern between the two spells, it is impossible to make a seamless connection. Or because of the shape of the two products, can not be done across the board, then generally between the two products at least 4mm wide row position, and each product must have at least 2mm pattern bleeding.

In summary, the printing plant flexibly and ingeniously spells, which not only saves costs, but also avoids the bad influence caused by the imposition of die-cutting.

Points to be aware of when dispensing ink

The mixing of ink is one of the important links in the printing process. The quality of the ink blending directly affects the quality of the printed product. The following is a little experience of the printing plant on the ink, I hope to discuss with you.

First, when adjusting ink, you must pay attention to: hue, lightness and chroma.

First of all, it is necessary to carefully analyze the original color draft, analyze the original color draft according to the principle of the three primary colors, and determine the color of the main ink of the color draft and the color of the auxiliary ink. In theory, according to the principle of the three primary colors, any complex color can be blended. However, in actual work, it is not enough to use the three primary colors of ink to adjust the color required by the customer. Therefore, in practical applications, it is necessary to use more than ten kinds of inks such as deep yellow, medium yellow, light yellow, dark blue, medium blue, light blue, light blue, deep red, red, orange red, light red, green ink to meet the requirements of use.

Secondly, after the hue is adjusted, when the brightness is adjusted, we usually encounter two situations: too bright and insufficient brightness. If the brightness is too strong, you can add a strong color of the appropriate hue or simply add black or white to reduce the brightness. Insufficient brightness, you can add some white ink or a light color ink of the appropriate hue to enhance its brightness. For example, we feel that the yellow brightness is too strong, in order to reduce the brightness, you can add a little purple. Finally, adjust the chroma of the oil color. When the color is too strong or too pure, you can add gray or black ink, or add complementary color ink. If the color is too gray, you should add pure strong color ink.

Second, when mixing ink, we must also consider what type of printing machine is used in the printing process.

The performance of each press is different, so there are different issues to be aware of when dispensing ink. For example, when dispensing ink for an offset press, it should be noted that the color of the ink when the sample is expanded is deeper than the original color. Because, when the sample is not subjected to printing pressure, its ink layer is always vain. In the printing, the pressure of the rubber on the paper is great, the ink layer is firm and uniform, and the actual ink amount is less than the extension. The ink layer is thin and the tinting strength is poor.

Third, you must also understand the variety of paper when you are dispensing ink.

The use of loose texture, rough surface paper, capillary adsorption, can increase the ink absorption capacity, should pay attention to increase the amount of ink when dispensing ink. Using a smooth and sturdy paper such as coated paper, the amount of ink used is small. Care should be taken to reduce the amount of ink used to avoid waste.

Fourth, we must also consider the issue of the pressure of the printing press.

The printing press has a large pressure plate and is flat, so that the printed ink layer can be flat and firm, and the printing plate has no flowering phenomenon. The pressure of the machine is small, and the plate is under-stressed, so that the ink layer of the imprinted ink is not floating and is not strong, and the printing plate occurs. Only the amount of ink can be increased to change the state of the bottom of the printing plate. This means that the same plates and papers print more on a machine with less pressure than on a machine with a higher pressure. Therefore, the printing plate with a large plate pressure is generally printed on a circular flattening machine, which is not only beneficial to improving the quality of the product, but also saves ink.

In summary, it is a bit of experience for the printing factory to print and dispense ink, and I hope to discuss it with you.

Reasonable application of pearl powder in the printing process

This time we mainly talk about the rational use of pearl powder in the printing process.

1. How to use pearl powder safely

Pearlescent powder is a translucent microflaky pigment. Inadvertent inhalation of the lungs by the operator will cause corresponding damage to the body. It is recommended that the operator wear a mask and rubber gloves before mixing the pearl powder. Open the package and gently put the required amount into the can (barrel), then soak it in 30% ethyl acetate or isopropanol for 30 minutes. Operation, but not suitable for high-speed stirring, otherwise it will destroy the particle size of the pearl powder and affect its gloss.

2. How to mix pearl powder with color materials

Gravure printing mainly uses low viscosity liquid inks. For the blending of pearlescent pigments, a binder with high transparency (resin) and a transparent thinner with good printability should be selected. When formulating color inks, different color ink types should be selected according to different papers. For white cards and whiteboard papers, pigment-based pigments should be used, and for PET composite papers, dye-based pigments should be used. The pigment and pearl powder can be mixed, generally no more than 20% of the pearl powder. If the color tone is too heavy, it will affect the pearlescent effect, because pearlescent pigments can only have special light interference function in the light-filled ink layer, and excessive use of other colored pigments will cause a large amount of pearlescent light to be lost.

Method of deployment. Dilution agent: color ink: pearl ink = 75:3:22, can increase or decrease the proportion of each according to the desired effect.

Method of operation: first use the thinner and color ink to make the preparation (remember: weigh to find the proportion), adjust the sample to a slightly deeper than the required sample by scraping the sample, then add the soaked pearl powder, evenly stir, wait for the pearl powder It can be used after being evenly dispersed in the ink.

3. Reasonable use of pearl powder on composite paper

For example, if the pearlescent ink is printed on the PET composite paper, the smoothness of the surface of the paper is good, and the transfer rate of the pearlescent ink is lowered during the printing process, and the covering effect is also poor, and the print is exposed to the color of the paper. Then, in the process arrangement, it is necessary to consider the empty color sequence, printing the pearl ink or the base oil twice, so that the pearl light effect will be more vivid; without the empty color sequence, consider adding appropriate aluminum powder, white ink or transparent to the pearl ink. The ink is so light that the pearl light effect is slightly lost, but the hiding rate is improved.
