Screen printing refers to the technique of performing decorative printing on glass products by using a screen printing plate and using a glass printing material. This is an important process for making decorative glass. Today, glass screen printing has the following eight processes.
1, glass etching silk screen method
The traditional etching method for glass products is to apply a wax layer and other reinforcing materials on the surface of the glass as a resist layer, and then use a needle and a knife to mark the pattern on the coating to expose the surface of the glass, and then in this part. Corrosion is carried out with hydrofluoric acid. This process is very time consuming and labor intensive, but some manufacturers still use it until now.
Nowadays, the glass etching process makes etching easier and saves time and effort. There are two kinds of silk screen etching processes:
(1) Hot stamping. The hot stamping method for glass silk screen etching is to add a small amount of anti-corrosive powder to a resist prepared by paraffin, asphalt, stearic acid, etc., and prepare a resist printing material through a hot-printing screen plate according to a design pattern. The print is smeared onto the surface of the glass to form a resist. The portion of the resist film on which the glass is exposed is a pattern that needs to be etched. The etching is carried out using chlorofluoric acid, and after etching, the resist layer printed on the glass is washed away with boiling water. Hot stamping is suitable for etching suitable for two-sided continuous, tetragonal continuous pattern patterns.
(2) Cold printing. Glass silk screen etching can also be carried out using a cold stamping method. The resist print can be made of a special asphalt paint plus a resist powder, or a commercially available anti-ink can be purchased. After the printing is completed, the hydrofluoric acid is corroded after the resist film is completely dried. Cold stamping is suitable for etching of individual patterns.
2, glass ice pattern silk screen method
Ice flower is commonly known as orange peel, which is actually a very small low-melting glass granule. The fine glass particles have high lead content, color and colorless, and the color hue has red, yellow, blue, green, white, etc., and can also be formulated with a halftone. Silk screen ice flower decoration, elegant and generous, mostly used in architectural glass decoration and arts and crafts glass decoration, such as high-grade glassware, lamps and other decoration.
The glass ice flower decorative silk screen printing method is to first screen a colored or colorless glass flux layer (flux) on the surface of the glass, and then sprinkle the ice glass particles on the glass flux layer, and pass the sintering at 500 ° C to 590 ° C to make The flux layer on the surface of the glass and the layer of ice particles are eutectic to produce a relief effect. For example, if the silk is printed on the glass, the colored ice is transparent, and the high-temperature eutectic, the flux layer of the glass ice pattern is discolored, and the colored embossed transparent relief pattern is formed on the glass surface.
3, glass frosted silk screen printing method
Frosting is a glass glaze powder with a certain size and area adhered to the glass. After baking at a high temperature of 580 ° C to 600 ° C, the glass glaze coating is melted on the surface of the glass and shows a color different from that of the glass body. Kind of decoration method. Adhesive glass glaze powder can be brushed with a pen or roll with a rubber roller.
Through the silk screen processing, a hollow pattern of the frosted surface can be obtained. The method is to screen a layer of a pattern formed by a dream silk screen resisting flux on the surface of the glass article. A flux inhibitor consisting of ferric oxide, talc, clay, etc., ground by a ball mill with a fineness of 350 mesh (referring to 350 meshes of uniform size within a distance of 25.4 mm), silk screen Pre-adhesive with a binder.
After the pattern pattern to be printed is air-dried, it is subjected to frosting. Then, after high-temperature baking, the frosted surface without the pattern pattern is melted on the glass surface, and the place where the silk screen pattern is applied is not melted on the glass surface due to the action of the resisting agent. After baking, the transparent floor pattern appears through the translucent sand surface, forming a special decorative effect.
4, silk screen printing ion exchange coloring method
The principle of this method is to obtain colored glass by exchanging silver and silver ions in the glass and then reducing it to become a metal colloid. Only the portion to be colored was printed on the transparent glass plate with a screen ink containing silver ions, and only the printed portion was changed from yellow to brown after the baking was washed. The screen printing ink printing material of the decorative process is mostly composed of silver carbonate, copper sulfate (burning powder), ferric oxide, talc powder, etc., and a small amount of zinc powder is used as a catalyst. .
The difference in firing conditions causes changes in hue, density, and the like. Since there is no reflection difference between the uncolored portion and the colored portion, there is no unnatural feeling at all, just like melting the glass. The coloring of the characters and marks on the glass and the heat treatment of the rear window of the automobile, as well as the brown color represented by the scale of the experimental experiment, were obtained in this way.

5, glass contact control panel silk screen method
Nowadays, when designing a program such as temperature adjustment or switching of an electric appliance such as a microwave oven, a switch combined with a microcomputer is used. Unlike ordinary mechanical switches, this type of switch is a switch printed on a glass panel. It has no movable part, no convex or concave, very smooth, easy to decontaminate, and can be controlled by hand touch.
The surface of the control panel is covered with a conductive film, and the screen-printed ceramic ink is used for decoration and text display. Its advantages are resistance to mechanical wear, chemical corrosion, and easy decontamination. In addition, in order to color the glass during the design, the organic coating can be printed on the back side, since the back surface cannot be directly contacted, the durability is strong, and the selection of the ink is also large.
6, the matte silk screen method of the glass surface
In this method, the matte ink on the surface of the glass is printed on the soda lime glass with a screen printing plate, and washed with water for several minutes, and the effect is similar to that of brown glass. Fluoric acid is usually used for etching glass, which has certain dangers. The ink does not contain strong acid, and the operation is relatively simple, and the matting effect and etching have the same effect.
7, silk screen printing method of electric defogging lines
In order to prevent the condensation of water vapor on the rear window of the car, the use of electric defogging lines is increasing. This silkscreen method is to apply a silver paste to a line on a smooth glass and to fire it while bending the glass. When the rear window is foggy, let the lines generate heat through the current, increase the temperature of the glass surface, and remove the water vapor.
When such an electric defogging device is energized, some cars are not powered by a manual switch, but are automatically energized and automatically powered off. The sensor of the automatic device is to screen the serrated electrode on the thin glass, and then cover a layer of the wetted body, and automatically control the energization and power off by the change of the humidity.
8. Screen printing method of liquid crystal display module
The liquid crystal digital display module is formed by sealing two thin glass sheets spaced apart by about 10 micrometers, injecting liquid crystal, and sealing the injection port. The silk screen printing method is on the surface of the two glasses, the silk screen is a "8"-shaped transparent electric conduction strand, and the "8" word is composed of 7 parts, and the voltage can be partially increased to display the corresponding number. The process of making such an "8" pattern is firstly on a glass with the entire electrically conductive strand, the acid resistant ink is only screen printed on the "8" shaped portion, and then etched with acid to remove the unprinted portion. Conductive shares.
