The printing machine's rubber roller (including water roller and ink roller) plays an important role in the printing process, but in actual production, many printing companies will soon replace the original rubber roller.
Reason inventory
During the use of the rubber roller of the printing press, the life of the rubber roller is shortened or damaged due to improper use or operation. What are the reasons?
1. If the pressure of the ink roller is improperly adjusted, it will cause the ink roller to wear, especially if the pressure is heavy at one end, which may easily cause damage to the rubber roller.
2. If the handles at both ends of the water bucket roller are forgotten to close, the colloidal tear of the metering roller will be damaged. If one end is not closed or one end is not in place, the metering roller and the plate water roller will wear.
3. During the loading process, the PS version is not in place and the PS version of the bite and the end of the drawing plate screw is not tightened, the PS version will wear the rubber roller due to the untensioned part of the hollow protrusion; Too tight or the top plate is too strong, causing the plate to be deformed or broken and the ink roller is damaged. In particular, the plate water roller has the lowest hardness due to the low hardness of the rubber.
4. During the printing process, when the long order is printed, the running condition of the two ends is different from the middle, which will cause the ends of the ink roller to wear.
5. Poorly printed paper, paper dust and sand on the paper will cause the ink roller and copper roller to wear.
6. Use a sharpener to draw the rule line or make other marks on the plate, causing damage to the ink roller.
7. During the printing process, due to poor local water quality and high hardness, the printing plant did not install a proper water treatment device, resulting in the accumulation of calcification on the surface of the ink roller, which increased the hardness of the rubber and increased the friction. The problem not only causes the ink roller to wear, but also causes serious print quality problems.
8. The ink roller is not regularly maintained and recycled.
9. Long-term non-washing and metering roller surface area inks can also cause wear.
10. Special processes, such as printing gold and silver cardboard, stickers or film, require special inks and special additives to accelerate the cracking and aging of the rubber roller.
11. The roughness of the ink particles, especially the roughness of the UV ink, has a direct effect on the wear of the rubber roller.
12. Different parts of the rubber roller, the speed of wear is different. For example, the transfer roller has a higher degree of wear than the normal one because its action is stationary → high speed → stationary.
13. By the plate water roller and the ink roller, due to the axial movement with the string (water) ink roller, the wear at both ends of the rubber roller is larger than that in the middle.
14. During long-term shutdown (such as the Spring Festival holiday, etc.), the rubber roller is statically squeezed for a long time, resulting in uneven rubber cylinder diameter, and the rubber roller has different rotational deformation and deformation, which aggravates the wear of the rubber roller.
15. The working environment is not well controlled (supercooled or overheated), which exceeds the physical properties of the rubber gel and aggravates the wear of the rubber roller.
Maintenance tips
To extend the life of the ink roller, printing technology experts recommend that you keep the following in mind when working:
1. The pressure adjustment of the ink roller should meet the requirements, and the pressure of the plate roller should be checked every week.
2. When the operator just goes to work, check the parameters of the water tank, and then wait for the water in the water tank to reach the water level, then click the water bucket roller, and finally close the handles at both ends of the water bucket roller, and click the water bucket roller to make the metering. The surface of the roll has a uniform film of water.
3. Because the ink roller is a wearing part, the customer should use the ink roller and water roller to rotate according to the maintenance specifications of the printing machine. The ink roller is removed every month and the two sets of water and ink rollers are recycled.
4. When loading, pulling and topping, be careful not to make the plate deformed too much or damaged. If the deformation is too strong or damaged, it should be replaced immediately.
5. Do not scribe pull lines or other marks on the board.
6. Wash the car once per shift and keep the metering roller clean.
7. Pay attention to the cleaning and maintenance of the water roller.
8. Regularly clean the ink roller with a roller cleaner and remove the calcium.
9. Remove the ink roller after the maintenance with the grease, pay attention to protect from light; remove the ink roller and check the bearings at both ends.
10. Pay attention to the temperature requirements of the work and improve the working environment.
