Roller
The packaging forms of books, calligraphy, and other works that we usually see are scrolls with traditional Chinese cultural characteristics. They need to be unfolded when reading, and can be rolled up after reading. This is a very old form of armor. In modern craft prints, designers use such frame design to fully demonstrate the characteristics of the packaged items and unique cultural connotations. The reel is divided into banner and vertical packs, and the materials and armoring process are relatively elegant.
Ancient line
A very Chinese binding form, mainly using cotton or silk thread to drill the finished booklet from the spine to the book core about 10mm, and thread it into a book. The ancient line is generally used for scriptures and books with ancient text pattern styles. Many ancient lines also use traditional Chinese characters and vertical lines, as well as relatively old paper materials such as rice paper. The ancient line is characterized by simplicity and elegance, and the culture is dignified. In the book binding design, the unique creativity combined with the ancient line form has a more cultural sense of form.
Polyline
Also known as "accordion", the printed paper is cut into thin strips, and the strips are folded into a number of hands by folding left and right, and the strips are grown in all the glues. The difficulty in folding is the adhesive connection. Since it is almost completely done by hand, a slight accident may result in the inability to trim the front and back hands, or the creases may not be consistent, resulting in scrap or defective products. Therefore, it is necessary to consider more process details before deciding to use an adhesive connection.
Riding nail
Riding and nailing is the most common and the most common method of binding in many albums. When binding, divide the page into two, and staple it along the middle seam. For general journals, catalogues, newsletters, catalogues with few pages or less than 5mm thick.
Wireless binding
Wireless binding refers to the binding method of bonding between the inner pages and the spine with hot melt adhesive, and then sticking together with the cover of the front cover. It is mainly used for printing, and the inner weight of the paper is below 157g/m2. The book catalogue is suitable for the mechanized operation of the assembly line.
Lock line
For thicker books, in order to increase the firmness of the pages in the book, the stickers cannot be fixed by glue alone, and the stitch reinforcement is required. The lock line is used to stitch the inner page with the weaving thread on the spine surface, and then glue it with hot melt adhesive to make the book binding more firm.
Collection level hardcover
Books, painting catalogues, classic works, high-end albums, gift catalogues, etc., which are commemorative, more valuable, and valuable in collection, are mostly used in collectible hardcover. Popular speaking, collection-level hardcover refers to the binding of the inner page layout design, the cover backing material, the craft and the binding method. Different from ordinary hardcover, the collection level is equipped with outer packaging, and the external packaging requirements are more fashionable, refined and have a certain weight. The use of internal and external design and process technology makes the collection-level hardcover look awe-inspiring.
Special binding
Book design and binding methods do not follow a fixed pattern. Graphic designers carry out many creative and pioneering ideas with novel styles and distinctive features according to the content of printed works. For example, the number of books published in recent years is numerous, and book bindings are constantly being updated. Too many to mention. There are left and right, reverse, folding, etc. in the form, the use of materials is also constantly refurbished, art paper, wood materials, metal profiles, PVC plastics, etc., as long as you can not think of it, really can't do it!
Loose leaf
The loose-leaf pack is the simplest form of binding. Each page can be viewed comfortably. Unlike the coil package, the number of punches for the loose-leaf is usually 3 or 4 holes. The material of the binder is available in both stainless steel and plastic. The number of pages can be arbitrarily added or reduced after binding. It should be noted that since the stainless steel material binders are mostly heavy, the cover back cover requires thick materials to enable the binder to be firmly supported. Loose-leaf binding is a good choice for specialized technical training manuals and product catalogs that select different content for different customers.
Another type of leaflet is formed by a single or multiple screws and nuts. A single version, such as a special paper sample book, a catalogue of special material samples, etc., which is seen on the market, is used in many forms. However, only a single page can be viewed in a fan shape, and the screw is easily loosened due to looseness. Multiple versions such as data bindings, meeting materials or tender information books.
Double coil
Also known as YO circle, O-coil. The double coil is a two-strand steel coil with preset dimensions and specifications. The common materials are divided into spray steel ring and plastic coil. Usually, a round hole or a square hole is punched on the left or the top of the printed matter. After the double coil is passed through and the YO ring binding machine is pressed and fixed, the entire binding process is completed. After the coil is locked, the page cannot be added unless the coil is removed. The cost of double-coil binding is higher than that of a single coil. Of course, the binding effect is better and more durable. With a two-coil bound book, you can completely flatten any page when reading, making it easy to read and query. Books with a thickness of 30mm, such as tool books, technical manuals, recipes (recipes), VIS manuals, and architectural drawings, are best suited for this binding method.
