AMPAC encodes the terms used in the printing industry, such as ordering, design, technology, manufacturing, and instructions, as well as control information, and classifies them in a hierarchical structure. The coding is composed of a combination of four groups of numbers, and is registered in the AMPAC parameter table together with the parameter name. After the terminology and control information are encoded, it is registered as an electronic file in the shared database and by means of a textual description. The same system as the JDF description, ordering information, manufacturing design information, job information, etc., select the parameter sub-set from the AMPAC parameter table, and the same system can be created. The coding and sharing of the database concept of this parameter is a feature of the AMPAC system.
AMPAC can handle multiple languages
The encoding of the parameters eliminates language dependencies within the AMPAC database and application. Therefore, prepress, print, postpress and ADF (AMPAC Data Format) job data, as long as a language is used to confirm that the system is not malfunctioning, then the system can be applied intact in the world.
For example, changing the Japanese in the job order to the corresponding Chinese, the workflow starts, there is no need to fiddle with the database, and it can be directly used as the Chinese AMPAC database application. On the other hand, since AMPAC encodes all the parameters, it guarantees complete uniqueness. Since all the phenomena are easily clarified for classification, the parameters are classified into the proper four levels, so that the information of the delivery definition can be reliably executed. The purpose of the printing project is the same as JDF. The content of this JDF and JMF can be simply replaced with a well-defined AMPAC description, and the continuous process can be started simply. No matter which dialect, as long as it is registered in the database, it becomes a common language for everyone to use. Therefore, the vertical connection of the prepress, print, and postpress workflows need not be said, and the horizontal connection between the projects can be continuously performed, so that the vain interoperability test can be omitted.

ADF is a format that can describe wisdom. From all kinds of phenomena, only the most suitable phenomenon is extracted, and the best route is constructed by combination. The combination of this most appropriate phenomenon is exactly the fifth layer of the hierarchical model defined by AMPAC, which can also be described by the ADF. According to the accumulated intelligence described by this ADF, the data derivation method is used to calculate the function of deriving wisdom, so that it can adapt to various kinds of accumulated intelligence, and then derive various wisdoms from the same method.
For example, in the case of JDF, machine control data is passed from the upstream, and the machine is compliant with it, but the optimization of machine control is left to the discretion of the machine manufacturer. AMPAC not only controls intelligence, but also stores all the intelligence, such as machine motion information and engineering information and environmental information, which are used to control intelligence work.
