With the increasing competition in the market, many companies have begun to set up internal design and production staff, instead of professional design companies to complete the design and production work, which can reduce costs to a certain extent. It is also convenient for companies to control the design and production process, but at the same time, because internal design and production staff may not be as familiar with prepress requirements as professional institutions, there will be some common sense mistakes. After the design is completed, many companies will ask the printing house to go directly to the film and print, which will transfer the problem to the printing house.
1. Design and production is an indispensable part of printing. The completion of the printed product must be designed and produced - the film proofing - the machine printing - the post-processing four links, are indispensable.
2. Design and production is the process of using graphics to mix and match graphics. It is the first step in the proofing of the film. Therefore, the requirements for film proofing must be considered in the design and production. However, it is not enough to consider from the perspective of film proofing, because the ultimate goal is to print the finished product, so it is also necessary to consider the design from the printing point of view. Otherwise, some designing methods are not a problem for proofing, but it can cause considerable problems for printing.
3. Design and production can be done using different software. There is no big difference between the software, but only based on the preference and familiarity of the design staff. But in general, in four-color (color) printing, Microsoft Office can not be typeset, because Microsoft Word and Excel are word processing software, not professional typesetting software, can not be used to output color printing. Four-color film (red, yellow, blue, black). In color printing, typesetting should use professional typesetting software such as Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDRAW, etc. QUARK is another professional typesetting software that has become increasingly popular abroad. In black and white printing, such as black and white books and magazines, Word, Excel, etc. can be used as typesetting software to output monochrome film for printing.
4. Regardless of the software used, the image file used in the layout must have a resolution of more than 300 dpi. The pictures used on the website look very clear, but the resolution is usually only 72 dpi or 100 dpi and cannot be printed. Dpi refers to the number of dots per inch. The higher the number of dots, the clearer the picture. If the image resolution used in the layout is not 300 dpi, it should be forced to 300 dpi and become the original size to determine if it is clearly available.
5. The mode of the color image must be changed to CMYK mode, and the RGB mode cannot be used. CMYK is a print-only mode, and RGB is a display-only image display mode. If RGB output film is used, color confusing will appear on the film.
6. Verify that all necessary files are in the document and that the image file is already included in the document. Sometimes the image appears to be displayed in a typeset file, but it is actually missing or the resolution is low, so you must confirm that the necessary image is included and that the image has sufficient resolution. In addition, you should copy in the necessary fonts, if you replace some special fonts, it may affect its effect, and may also be garbled.
7. In the process of document production, black characters are always used in monochrome, without black or black. This is because if four-color black characters are used, it is easy to cause misregistration, which will cause other colors to appear in the black characters.
8. Regular size: The size of the sixteen open is 210mm x 285mm, and the size of the eight open is 420mm x 285mm, which is the domestic standard sixteen open and eight open size. There is also an international standard sixteen open size (called A4) is 210mm x 297mm, the international standard eight open size (called A3) is 420mm x 297mm. We use the most domestic standard sizes.
9. When the layout needs to be output, it is necessary to set 3mm bleeding up, down, left and right. This is to leave a margin for the cutting of the finished product. Also set the bleeding when you are making an imposition. After the imposition is completed, it is necessary to see if there is any word or figure out the cut line, and whether the bleeding is enough.
10. After using Illustrator to complete the layout, you should perform the curve-turning operation, because all the text after the curve will become a graphic, and there will be no running or garbled characters. When using the PageMaker tray for file copying, it is best to use the "Save As" command, and at the same time press "Link All Files" below to copy all the linked files to the disc. It is generally not recommended to use Photoshop for image and text, but only for image processing, because the text in Photoshop will appear jagged and will become blurred when printed.
In addition, pay attention to the following points after design
(1) Text: 1. The art text must be converted into a curve, and it must be checked whether the converted text is shifted. Otherwise, the word will be printed and the wrong file will be printed. 2. The GB-2312 font is forbidden. After the conversion curve, the intersection of the strokes will appear obvious hollowing out. Founder Meihe will also appear when the curve is not turning. 3. The paragraph text must pay attention to whether the text in the text box is all displayed; 4. The text chain is used. The text of the envelope and the envelope must be converted into a curve. 5. The outline word must be separated from the outline and the outline, and the text will be converted to a curve to delete the outline; 6. The three-dimensional characters must be separated together and the text will be converted to a curve. Moreover, the stereogram must be converted to a bitmap; 7. The shaded words must be selected together and separated, the text is converted into a curve, and the shadow is converted into a bitmap; 8. The transparent word must be converted into a curve and then re-doed; Among them, office office software, poor fonts are not reported, must be in the options under the Tools menu, use the fonts within the compatibility In other view, confirm whether the difference font. (2), picture: 1, the rotated and cropped pictures, must be converted to bitmap, otherwise it will break the picture; 2, the shadow of the picture, must be converted together with the shadow into a bitmap; 3, the use of filters The picture must be converted to a bitmap (note whether the original picture changes too much after the transfer) Note: Rotating or cropping pictures in the precise crop box cannot be directly transferred to the bitmap.
