Ink is the main consumable in the printing industry. It can be divided into several types according to the composition and content of the ink, the use of the substrate, the printing method of the printing equipment and the method of use. Most of the existing inks contain organic (or inorganic) solvents, pigments, etc., and do not meet the requirements of environmentally friendly green printing. Nowadays, with the increasing awareness of environmental protection and the growing demand for environmental protection, ink as a major component of green printing, its environmental protection requirements are also increasing, and the amount of printing ink suitable for environmental protection is increasing year by year. Environmental protection has become the only way to develop ink in the future. Let's talk about the characteristics and applications of green and environmentally friendly plant inks.

Plant ink is a vegetable oil-based ink, which uses vegetable oil as a binder. Currently, the joint research and development and application of the plant are mainly alkali-refined soybean rapeseed oil, cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, safflower seed oil and CanoIa oil, among which Soybean oil based vegetable inks are commonly used. The plant ink is mainly prepared from natural plant color paste natural vegetable oil and water and some auxiliary materials. The advantage is that not only can the release of volatile organic compounds be reduced, but the pigment slurry does not contain any heavy metals and is harmless to the human body. The vegetable inks all remove the hydrocarbon resin from the common ink, reducing the amount of pigment used, which is sufficient as a substitute for petroleum-based inks.

The thermosetting and quick-drying inks synthesized by rapeseed oil and sunflower oil modified alkyd resin replace the mineral oil with vegetable oil-derived fatty acid methyl ester, but the performance of thermosetting offset printing ink needs to be improved and improved; In addition, there are many lithographic intaglio inks with vegetable oil as the main component. In these products, vegetable oil or modified as a resin, or as a solvent, effectively reduces the V0C content, but in order to ensure the printing performance, it still contains a certain amount of petroleum resin. Or solvent, I believe that as the research progresses, the amount of these petroleum resins or solvents will gradually decrease. Plant inks are suitable for a wide range of applications, such as soft box bags, hygienic products, fast food lunch boxes, shopping bags, paper cups, newspapers and magazines, beverages, wine, medicines and various cosmetics. In addition, plant inks do not rub. Electrical phenomenon can also emit natural fragrance. The diverse nature of plant inks in technology and applications makes it an environmentally friendly ink with a wide range of applications. Taking soybean ink as an example, it is technically superior to ordinary petroleum-based inks to form a more extensive and novel ink application market. In summary, plant inks have the following characteristics.
