When you walk in the printing shop, you may often hear complaints from the press operators. Although the reasons for their complaints sound strange, they are summarized as follows:
1, no color control strip
2, color control bar error
3. The color control strip overlaps with the printed content
4, no side gauge mark
5, the side gauge mark overlaps with the printed content
6, the side gauge mark is not printed on the edge of the page
7, the cutting mark overlaps with the printed content
8, no crop marks
9, no registration mark
10, the registration mark position is wrong
11, no rules and center mark
12, the job arrangement is not correct
13, the job did not make a correct backup
14, the group version error
15, lost page or wrong page
16, plate scratches
All of the above problems may be discovered during the preparation of the printing press. At that time, the printing plate is ready for installation, the ink color has been adjusted, the blanket has been cleaned, the workpiece has been registered, and the printing color is basically the same as the proof. Consensus was reached, and if we found the problem, all the plates were reworked and caused huge time and property damage to the printing company.
Some printing companies want to eliminate these problems through plate testing, but I don't think this is the best solution, mainly because:
First, even if we find a mistake on the plate, it is after the completion of the plate making, so it will also bring some losses to the printing company.
Second, because the plate is painted with color, it is difficult to see the details of the image.
Third, you cannot check for colored or overlapping images.
Fourth. The possibility of scratching the plate during additional processing is high.
So how do we solve these problems? First, we can install a large-screen, high-resolution display in the prepress department, and then let the operator check the printed documents before making the plate. In this process, we can find many problems and correct them in time to improve the efficiency of printing production while saving costs.
