In fact, a lot of problems can be avoided in the production of a little attention, here are some issues that need to pay attention to the production, for your reference.
1. Many people who do typography know that when text is processed, you can't choose bold text. This will cause ghosting on the edges of the text (Chinese). If you need to use thicker text, you should use a thicker font.
2. When selecting a font, you need to pay attention to the fonts that have been installed by the imagesetter. If you are using the TURETYPE font that is not installed in the imagesetter, you need to select the font to download, but the OS 8.5 and OS 8.6 systems have some problems with the download processing. Sometimes there are problems with the strokes that need to be noticed.
3. Check the imprint before the release, the blackprint in the Pagemaker is automatically imprinted, but some color blocks and lines need to be made by yourself; Freehand, Illustrator and other software need to set the black imprint. For other colors to be imprinted in the software you need to set it yourself. In particular, it is important to note that the place where the black version is to be checked for gray is not embossed.
4. Illustrator software makes the page directly slower, and sometimes the page size will change. You can save it as an EPS file and put it into Pagemaker. The speed is faster, but the embossing effect is not, so you need to follow the page. The situation is selected.
5. Images are best not to be rotated, cropped, or scaled in the typesetting software. Rotating the image in the typesetting software will increase the calculation amount of the hairline and increase the time of the distribution; the image display in the typesetting software is coarse, the image is inaccurately cropped and reduced, and the cutting and reduction methods are The amount of information of the image is not reduced, and the time of the distribution cannot be shortened; magnifying the image in the typesetting software affects the image quality. Therefore, it is preferable to complete the rotation, cropping, and scaling of the image in the scanning and image processing software.
6. In the layout process, especially when mixing Chinese and English, be careful not to use the same line and forcibly, because the page thus produced is often aligned on the screen, the actual output is not Complete this function.
7. Some RIPs have a very obvious jump when dealing with the 100%-0% gradient from the Pagemaker 6.5 software. Adding noise to the gradient image in Photoshop solves this problem.
8. Some RIPs will generate errors when processing a large amount of TIFF images in the imposition software. Therefore, images with a large amount of information are preferably stored in the EPS format and placed in the distribution.
9. When using the PC platform typesetting software to send and order, try to avoid using the downloaded fonts for output. In this case, the probability of problems is very high, and there will often be garbled characters. The same font should be installed on both the PC platform and RIP.
10. When outputting the page made by WORD software on the PC platform, you should pay attention to the page to be a monochrome page, because the color pages produced by WORD software are all in RGB mode, there will be certain problems when outputting, even in RIP. Colors often make mistakes.
