Microcomputers often encounter the following situations: When we insert the disk into the floppy drive of the prototype (ie, the host), click the mouse to put the host into the release state. From the screen prompts of the host, we can clearly see that the computer is reading the disc, preparing for the information, generating the dot matrix, and finally displaying it as the output of the printer. But at this time, the printer can't make a big picture, or the paper just comes in half and it stops, and the host prompts the printer to be faulty.
What is the cause of such a malfunction in the printer? Through the careful study of the usual, the following simple, effective and practical maintenance methods are summarized for the reference of computer operators in the printing industry.
First, there are foreign objects in the printer
As a kind of advanced equipment such as laser phototypesetting, it has the characteristics of high sensitivity and stable performance. Therefore, it has high requirements on the surrounding environment, sanitation and temperature. When the hair is sampled, it may fall on the paper edge or the paper corner inside the printer due to paper brittleness or other reasons, which will cause the printer to not work. Because the laser printer has high sensitivity and there is something inside, it mistakenly believes that the paper is ready, but when the paperboard is lifted and the paper suction roller rotates, but the paper is too small to be transported, there is an empty phenomenon, so the computer prompts The printer is faulty. Similarly, if there are foreign objects such as paper and rubber in the printer, including some dust and scattered toner, the printer will not be large.
Maintenance method: Immediately after this happens, open the printer cover, pinch the hidden paper, and use the leather tiger (repair tool to remove dust from the parts). Blow out other tiny dirt inside. If the dirt sticks on the shaft and cannot be blown off, you can also use cotton and alcohol to gently rub. Remember, you can't scrub with cloth, otherwise the printer will not work due to moisture.
Second, the internal temperature of the printer is too high
When the printer is powered on for a long time and there is too much paper to print, the temperature of the output channel is too high due to the constant operation of the printer. When the temperature of the printer is too high, there will be a situation where the paper is successfully input into the machine when the microcomputer is finished reading the disk, but the print sample is not seen for a long time, and the host has finished working. what happened? When you open the small cover, the original print samples are squeezed together, and there is no small compartment inside. This is because the temperature of the printer is too high. When the paper is printed and output to the outside, the leading end of the paper is softened by high temperature and loses its hardness. Therefore, it moves forward without moving, and the rear paper is driven by the powerful force of the transmission wheel. The roads are forcibly squeezed together and become a toilet paper, which cannot be read or proofread.
Maintenance method: In this case, stop using it immediately, shut down, and open all the covers of the printer to allow it to dissipate heat sufficiently. At the same time, you can also use cotton, alcohol, and lightly wipe some of the overheated parts inside. It cools down as soon as possible.
Third, the host menu content design error
Most of the laser phototypesetting centers and mainframes are connected with the printer and the phototypesetting machine. If the photo-issuing staff just used it to send the film, the internal program settings are not changed (that is, the conditions required for the original printer output state are not restored). When the menu command differs from the command required by the printer, the printer does not work.
Maintenance method: In this case, click the menu with the mouse to return the menu to the command output by the printer, and modify some of the menu contents. For example, the left side of the layout, the right boundary is 0, the peripheral name is not Canon but proofreading.
Fourth, the floppy disk is bad or bad.
When the floppy disk you copied has been broken or has some bad sectors, insert it into the floppy drive of the host, click the menu with the mouse, let the host read the disk, the floppy drive indicator lights up, but suddenly goes out, the host prompts "Ee" (bad ), this means that the floppy disk you are using is broken, the disk information cannot be passed to the host center command system, so the host does not work.
Maintenance method: At this time, you need to replace a floppy disk to re-copy the sample, or format the bad disk, and then copy the content you need to re-send.
Fifth, the printer itself is faulty
When you use the host to send samples, the floppy disk and the host you are using are correct, but the printer still does not work. There is no dirt inside the printer, and the temperature is not high. At this time, you should carefully observe the several indicator lights on the printer and check if there is any abnormality.
There are three indicators on the printer (refer to the warning when it is not working properly), and one is the toner indicator. This light is on, indicating that the toner in the printer is running out and you need to refill the toner. The other is the paper feed indicator. This light is on, indicating that the printed paper is not placed properly. The front end of the paper does not hold the printer. The paper feed roller of the printer cannot grasp the paper and cannot pass forward. The third is the signal interruption indicator. This light is on, indicating that there is a fault in the middle of the previous printing, and the printer is in a semi-working state. At this point, the printer should be turned off and then restarted to return the printer to its original state before it can be re-worked.
