Most of the previous printing buyers submitted film and proofing to the printing house, and the printing factory did not need to face any mistakes in prepress production. However, most of today's printing buyers submit electronic manuscripts, and many printers have added prepress departments and added a large number of equipment, such as computers, CTP and process systems. However, due to lack of experience and talents, and the format of electronic manuscripts submitted by customers, the software version is too many, the level of manuscript is uneven, and the methods are different. There are often many problems, such as: low resolution of images, missing OPI links. Link, wrong color space (RGB, CIE map...), excess ink volume, too young lines, inappropriate overlays, missing fonts, etc... These responsibilities are often borne by the printing house and need to be reprinted or fined. Not only does it lose money and time, but the most important thing is that the company's reputation is damaged. And these problems appear again and again and again, and if you are not careful, you will repeat the same mistakes.
Although there are some pre-examination systems (Preflight) on the market, it can help you to check the files in advance. If you find a problem, you will be able to return the file to the customer for revision according to the report. But in many cases, the client is just a middleman. His client may be a foreign publisher or other company, and these companies are likely to be outsourced to independent designers. In this case, the manuscript will need to go through multiple channels and take a lot of time to modify it.
There are also times when the pre-screening report found no problems, but there were still problems when exporting the film or zinc plate. Basically, proSkipper is like Preflight. Just after the file is sent to the system, the system automatically performs preflight processing. But proSkipper has several more programs than other preflight systems. It takes five steps to process the files - preflight, optimize, correct, output and transfer.
1. Preflight (Preflight) - A pre-check engine based on the JDF driver. The system will generate a low-resolution PDF report after the test. 4. Output - You can provide error-free electronic files for the first time according to the detailed requirements of the publishing house and the printing house. proSkipper can output all standard file formats. For example: synthetic or color separation PostScript level 1/2/3, DCS1/DCS2, and PDF1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5, PDF /X -1a, PDF /X -3 (including 2001 and 2003), PDF /X-Plus, Pass4Press, exclusive PDF /P2*, and TIFF -IT-P1 and more. 5. Transmission - When the output process is complete, the transfer begins and it is ready to transfer the file to the next stage of work: automatic compression, rename, local archive, FTP upload to the remote site, or even transfer to another On the production platform. The PDF file exported by proSkipper ensures that it is transferred to any application and system (even on different vendors' platforms).
