Post-press processing technology - perforation

Book Publishing Terminology. It refers to the loose-leaf cards or various leaflets of this album, etc., according to a certain specification on the staple with eyelets that can be pierced (generally 3-5mm in diameter). The number of holes is generally 2, but it can also be more or less as needed. The common ones are round holes, rounded rectangular holes, etc.

In process technology, drilling is referred to as punching with a rotating tool. Therefore, the drilled hole shape is always round. The diameter and spacing of the drilled holes can be changed, but they can only be arranged on a line or surface. In paper processing, it is often necessary to drill holes in order to tie the labels, such as hanging labels of various shapes. This method is widely used throughout the paper processing industry. For example, in packaging and plastics, drilling technology can be used for the processing of flat materials.

There is a kind of drilling machine that uses manual loading and unloading of the drilled object, which is operated by hand. The conveyed pile of paper that is drilled on the automata, the four-sided flushing, the accurate transfer in the machine, as well as the drilling itself and the delivery pile, do not require manual involvement. The transfer process in the machine is automated.
It is mostly used for folder binding, tags, rivet books, recipes, etc.
