Specialty paper
Specialty paper mainly refers to the culture and packaging paper that is different from ordinary printing paper, such as coated paper, offset paper, newsprint. This type of paper usually requires special paper processing equipment and processes, and the finished paper has a rich color and unique texture. With the development of the packaging and printing industry, the demand for specialty papers in the domestic market is growing. Special papers have become a family of paper products, and their varieties are becoming more and more diverse, and the scope of application is also expanding.
Classification
1. Look from the pulp. The quality of special paper pulp is relatively high, mostly pure wood pulp, long fiber, and some contain cotton. After the paper pulp is formed, the strength is good, the toughness is good, the paper has good stiffness and elasticity, and the color is bright. The paper pulp of plain paper is equipped with a certain proportion of non-wood fiber, and the paper is easy to turn yellow, and generally needs to be coated.
2. From the dyeing point of view, it can be divided into pulp dyeing and post-dyeing: pulp dyeing is to add toner during the papermaking process, so that the color is evenly distributed in the paper fiber, the paper color is saturated evenly, and the cross section is the same inside and outside. After dyeing, after the paper is formed, the pigment is dyed on the surface of the paper by infiltration, the color stability is inferior to the dyeing of the pulp, and it is easy to decolorize when it is in contact with water. When the dark paper is folded, white edges are easily formed, which destroys the overall effect.
3. From the embossing method, it can be divided into pre-embossing and post-embossing: pre-embossing refers to the soft felt when the pulp is not completely dehydrated, so that the paper fibers are distributed according to the natural texture of the felt to form a special texture of the paper. The paper texture of the front embossing process is natural and delicate, and will not damage the paper fiber. The post-embossing is the finished paper passing through the carved steel roller, which uses mechanical pressure to make the paper pattern. The advantages of post embossing are simple process, relatively low cost, and convenience. However, this process is harmful to the paper fibers, so the quality of the base paper directly affects the quality of the finished paper after embossing. After the embossing pattern is less changed, the embossed pattern is slightly mechanical and rigid.
How to use the characteristics of special paper to make it better in the packaging field?
1. Make full use of the emotions and emotions expressed by the grain color and texture effect of the paper, and achieve a simple and beautiful artistic effect through the simple design of the finishing touch. At the same time, it can also achieve the purpose of saving printing costs.
2. Use special process: die cutting, pressure bump, aluminum foil stamping, UV glazing, oil, etc. Because special paper contains more long fibers, has good stiffness and toughness, suitable for die cutting and drumming. Many special papers have rich texture and texture, and can achieve special effects in contrast with the gloss of electrochemical aluminum, UV glazing and oil.
Tea board paper
Teaboard paper, corrugated paper, cardboard, etc. are all paper products used for packaging, usually weighing between 150g and 400g, and also having a lower weight. Compared with other packaging and paper, teaboard paper belongs to the bottom paper, and its fracture resistance index and ring pressure index are lower than the national standard requirements for qualified products, but the price advantage is still widely used. There are coated teaboard papers on the market.
Coated white paper
What is coated white paper?
Coated whiteboard paper belongs to the category of packaging paperboard, which is a processed cardboard made by finishing the white coating on the original paperboard. Its quantification is generally above 200g/m2, and its thickness is above 0.1mm. It is mainly used for making single-sided color printing and making boxes. Coating white paper performance characteristics
The white coated paper has a high whiteness, smoothness, ink absorption and printing gloss. The cardboard itself has good stiffness and folding resistance, so it can perform high-quality color offset and gravure. Printing, and can meet the requirements of packaging, is a high-quality material for the production of high-end goods packaging boxes.
Type of coated white paper
Coated whiteboard paper is divided into A, B, C, etc. according to the quality level. When choosing, you should consider several aspects such as product type, specification and quality level.
Type A whiteboard paper: bleached chemical wood pulp is used on the surface, sulfate wood pulp, mechanical wood pulp, fine waste paper, etc. are used for the core layer and the bottom layer, and the folding resistance is good for producing small paper boxes.
Type B whiteboard: Use bleached chemical wood pulp or fine white waste paper on the surface, and waste paper pulp on the core and bottom.
Type C whiteboard: Uses lower grade materials than Type B whiteboard and is no longer produced.
Coated whiteboard structure
The coated whiteboard paper is composed of a secondary coating layer, a top layer, a core layer, a bottom layer, a primary or secondary coating layer, as shown in FIG. 1 : 1 layer and 5 layers are coating layers, and the function is to improve coating. Whiteness and printing effect of whiteboard paper; 2, 4 layers of sulphate pulp, mechanical wood pulp, defoamed waste newsprint pulp, its role is to maintain the strength and whiteness of white paper; 3 layers of mixed waste newsprint Pulp, waste magazine, waste corrugated board pulp, its role is to increase the thickness of white paper, reduce the cost of white paper, improve the ink absorption of white paper.
Classification and technical indicators of coated white paperboard
The classification of coated white paperboard varies from country to country. At present, there are mainly two kinds of single-sided coated gray paperboard and double-sided coated white cardboard. The amount of single-sided coated gray paperboard is 200g/m2, 220g/m2, 250g/m2, 270g/m2, 300g/m2, 350g/m2, 400g/m2, 450g/m2; The basis weight is 200 g/m 2 , 220 g/m 2 , 250 g/m 2 , 270 g/m 2 , 300 g/m 2 , 350 g/m 2 , and 400 g/m 2 .
The coated white paperboard is generally made of flat paper, and has a size of 787 mm × 1092 mm, 880 mm × 1230 mm, and also has a roll of white cardboard. The technical specifications of single-sided coated gray paperboard can refer to QB1011-91 standard. The technical specifications of double-coated white paperboard can refer to ZBY32024-90 standard.
Technical requirements for coated whiteboard
1. High strength. High strength is the basic performance that packaging materials should have.
2. Has good processing properties.
3. Have good printing adaptability. Adapt to offset printing, gravure and other printing methods.
4. Light weight and proper cushioning. Whiteboard paper has these characteristics and is very beneficial for protecting content and improving transportation performance.
Common sense
Paper and cardboard distinction
Divided into paper and paperboard according to their thickness, it is customary to refer to thick paper having a square area of more than 200g as paperboard, and less than 200g weight called paper. However, with the improvement of mechanical equipment, materials and process technology, thin paperboard, also known as light corrugated paper and paperboard, has appeared in the category of more than 200g, which is also divided into heavy corrugated board production line and production machinery. Light corrugated board production line.
At present, there are about 5,000 kinds of paper and cardboard in the world, and there are 500-600 kinds of paper and cardboard produced in China. The main varieties used for commodity packaging are cardboard paper, corrugated paper, whiteboard paper, yellow paper, kraft paper, glass cardboard, tar paper, coated paper, offset paper, coated paper, special paper, glue coated base paper, etc. There are two main types of corrugated boxes for making corrugated boxes and corrugated paper.
For linerboard, the color of the paste is better than that of the lining, and the front and back are the easiest to identify. Some paper or paperboard is made by multi-cylinder paper machine, or calendered by calender, the difference of the front side is not so obvious. In this case, the following methods can be used to identify:
1. Direct observation method. Fold the paper or cardboard and observe the surface shape structure on both sides. If there is a paper machine screen printing, there is a screen printing surface as the reverse side. When it is unclear to the naked eye, it can be measured by a magnifying glass or a smoothing instrument.
2. Carbon paper paper observation method. The carbon paper is pressed on the paper surface, and then the paper surface is observed. A mark is made on the paper so that the trace of the carbon paper is pressed against the paper, and a black mark of about 13 mm in width and 51 mm to 76 mm in length can be drawn. When observed, it can be placed on a smooth surface glass and identified by Method 1.
3. Use the coin method (aluminum) as a mark. Fold the paper surface so that the two sides are placed on a flat surface, use a coin to draw a mark on both sides, and then observe the depth of the two sides. The shallow side of the trace is the reverse side, which is due to the low filler content of the mesh surface and the scratching is not easy to show.
Vertical and horizontal identification of paper or cardboard
Paper and paperboard have a certain directionality through screen printing, generally parallel to the running direction of the paperboard, and transverse to the running direction.
Vertical and horizontal can usually be identified by the following methods:
1. Visual inspection method. Some flat papers can pay attention to the vertical and horizontal directions, and the light is more obvious when viewed from the light. The longitudinal direction of the web is transverse to the length of the web.
2. Tear method. If it is difficult to determine the vertical and horizontal directions by visual inspection, the paperboard can be torn by hand. If the crack is straight and smooth, it is longitudinal; if the crack is oblique or zigzag, even if the crack is torn out at the level of the paper, it is horizontal. Or it can be distinguished by paper strip and paper. The tensile strength is vertical.
3. Tensile instrument measurement method: The test is carried out using a special tensile tester. The large value is vertical and the small value is horizontal.
