Inkjet printers are increasingly becoming the preferred choice for home printers because of their good printer performance and low noise. The following maintenance items should be noted in their daily use:
1. You must ensure that the printer is working on a stable level and do not place anything on top of the printer. The printer must be closed when printing. In order to prevent dust from entering the machine into other hard objects, the movement of the printer car is hindered, causing unnecessary malfunction. If two ink cartridges [one black ink cartridge, one color ink cartridge] are opened at the same time, one of the ink cartridges should be placed in the ink cartridge provided. Do not plug or unplug the printed wires with power. This will damage the printer's print port and the parallel port of the PC, and even severely break through the motherboard of the PC. If the printout is less clear, streaked, or otherwise defective, the printer's automatic cleaning function can be used to clean the printhead, but a small amount of ink is required. If the printing is repeated several times, the printing is still not satisfactory. At this time, the ink may have run out and the ink cartridge needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the environment is clean. Too much dust in the environment can easily lead to poor lubrication of the guide shaft of the car, which hinders the movement of the print head during printing, causing inaccurate printing position or crashing into the mechanical frame. Sometimes, this kind of crash does not return to the initial position due to the print head. When the power is turned back on, the printer needs to first return the print head to the initial position, and then the print head operation will be performed, thereby causing unnecessary waste of ink. The solution to this problem is to often wipe off the dust on the guide shaft and lubricate the guide shaft (use a better fluidity such as sewing machine oil).
3. When the ink cartridge is not used, it is best not to remove it to avoid wasting ink or the printer's metering error.
4. Before turning off the printer, return the print head to its original position (the printer automatically returns to the initial position when the printer is in the pause state). Some printers automatically move the printhead to its original position before shutting down. Some printers must be turned off after the shutdown confirmation (ie, the pause light or the PAUSE light is on). One way to do this is to avoid wasting ink when the printer is re-cleaned the next time the printer is turned on. Second, because the print head can be sealed by the protective cover at the initial position, the nozzle is not easily blocked.
5. Some printers are mechanically locked in the initial position. At this time, if you move the print head by hand, you will not be able to leave it from the initial position. Be careful not to forcefully move the print head, as this will cause damage to the mechanical part of the printer.
6. When replacing the ink cartridges, be sure to follow the steps in the operation manual. Pay special attention to the above operations while the power is on. Because the ink is refilled after the ink cartridge is replaced, the process will not work in the off state and the printer will not be able to detect the reinstalled cartridge. In addition, some printers measure the ink capacity by using an electronic counter inside the printer (especially in the statistics of the amount of color ink used). When the counter reaches a certain level, the printer judges that the ink is used up. During the cartridge replacement process, the printer resets its internal electronic counter to confirm the installation of a new cartridge.
7. Be sure to turn off the printer power cord and print the cable with the printer turned off.
8. The ink cartridge should be exposed to direct sunlight at room temperature when not in use for a long time.
In addition, you need to pay attention to the following when maintaining an inkjet printer:
1) The inkjet ink has conductivity. If it is spilled on the circuit board, it should be cleaned with anhydrous alcohol, dried and then energized. Otherwise the circuit components will be damaged.
2) Do not disassemble the nozzle with power. Do not place the nozzle in a place where static electricity is generated. Take the metal part when taking the nozzle to avoid damage to the internal circuit of the nozzle due to static electricity.
3) Do not use the mouth to blow air into the nozzle or other ink lines to prevent the saliva from contaminating the inside of the pipeline and affecting the smooth flow of the ink.
4) Inkjet printers should be used in a clean air environment, especially against rodents, to avoid biting the ink line.
Improve the print quality of inkjet printers:
To ensure the quality of the original, there is a vivid original, rich and delicate manuscript, which is the premise of the perfect output; if the original to be output is too lame, then how to improve the back-end equipment, the effect is also very small;
Improve the resolution of the printer, in theory, the higher the resolution, the better the printing effect;
Whether the printer driver can provide rich color management functions
The color of the ink, some printers may only have four-color printing, and some printers provide six-color printing.
Printability of ink and print media.
Take the Lexmark Z52 as an example: print color and black resolutions up to 2400 × 1200Dpi, ink dots as small as 7 picoliter; with support for sRGB color space, fully support color matching of applications such as Microsoft Windows and Office, using ICM or Color Sync color Management function, which can make the color space of printers, monitors, scanners, digital cameras and other devices fully matched; Lexmark Z52 supports photo-level six-color printing (yellow, magenta, cyan, black, light magenta, light blue), so that The print effect is comparable to the photo; using the 100% waterproof [pigmented] black ink of Lexmark's patented formula, the printed text has sharp edges and fine lines, which is in no way inferior to laser printing.
