Corrugated cardboard is one of the most common quality defects, and this paper mainly introduces how to solve the problem of resistance to breakage through process adjustment.


First, the carton has special requirements for bursting resistance


Corrugated boxes are inevitably subjected to collision during use and transportation. To resist this effect and protect them from damage, corrugated boxes should have sufficient burst strength. The so-called burst strength refers to the maximum pressure per unit area of the corrugated board that can withstand perpendicular to the surface of the sample under the specified conditions, in units of KPa, which is usually tested with a cardboard resistance tester.


Second, the winter is resistant to breaks and often appears


In our production process, such problems often occur. In the winter, the same paper is the same equipment, but the physical indicators of the cardboard made are different. The main performance is that the side pressure is increased and the resistance is low. Here we talk about how to solve the problem of resistance to breakage through the process.


Third, adjust the following four aspects to improve the durability of cardboard


1. Reduce the pressure roller pressure and keep it at a constant speed.


In the production of paperboard, the pressure of the cardboard backing paper and the core paper is too large to break the fibers of the paper. We should reduce the pressure of the pressure roller in a targeted manner, and maintain a constant speed of production, and appropriate amount of glue. The amount of glue added is to add water to the cardboard, and the moisture resistance of the large cardboard will also increase.


2, reduce the preheating wrap angle, avoid excessive drying and lose moisture


In order to produce at high speed, many operators will increase the coating angle of the preheating cylinder, resulting in water loss during the production process, excessive drying of the surface and inner paper, and severe damage to the fibers of the paper. Therefore, in the processing of cardboard, attention should be paid to steam pressure, package angle, vehicle speed (single-sided machine avoids running at the resonance point) and reasonable use of the amount of glue to ensure the bonding quality of the board and avoid excessive drying and loss of moisture.


3, reasonable adjustment of the amount of glue to improve the bonding strength


In the production process, sometimes we will consider the edge pressure strength, it will reduce the amount of paste, or the temperature is not controlled, resulting in insufficient bond strength of the paperboard. When the paperboard is stressed, the bond strength will be insufficient, and the paper will be separated, resulting in the breakage of the paperboard. Not enough. The importance of bond strength must be considered in the production process.


4, the use of glue additives to increase adhesion


Finally, other methods can also be considered. Additives that increase bond strength can be added to supplement the inadequacies of field operations with additives.
