The water content of the paper is large, the paper is prone to tight edges, and the flatness of the cigarette pack is poor. During the printing process, the moisture content of the paper generally does not increase, but it will decrease more or less. Especially when the cigarette pack uses UV offset printing, the heat generated by the UV curing will cause the paper moisture to be lost, resulting in a decrease in the moisture content of the paper. Therefore, the paper moisture content should be controlled within the range of 6% to 8% before the official printing.
Paper rations correspond to paper thickness. If the paper quantity meets the standard and the thickness exceeds the standard, the finished product of the cigarette pack is prone to burrs. If the thickness of the paper is inconsistent, the finished product of the cigarette packet is not only prone to flaking, but also the inconsistency of the die-cutting indentation. If the die-cutting indentation is shallow, the package of the cigarette packet is poor in formability; on the contrary, if the die-cutting indentation is deep, the finished product of the cigarette packet is prone to bursting. This has a serious impact on the packaging adaptability of cigarette packets on ultra-high speed packaging machines. Taking the laminated cardboard as an example, the quantification should be controlled within the range of (250±3) g/m2, and the thickness should be controlled within the range of (310±15) μm.
In addition, the paper has a large stiffness, which is not conducive to the packaging of the cigarette pack, but the cigarette pack is easy to form; on the contrary, the paper has a small stiffness and the paper is too soft, which is not conducive to the formation of the cigarette pack. Taking the laminated cardboard as an example, the stiffness should be controlled to be ≤12mN in the longitudinal direction and ≤9mN in the lateral direction.
Varnish
Glazing is a kind of surface treatment technology commonly used in cigarette packets. It refers to coating a layer of colorless transparent varnish on the surface of the printed matter. After leveling, drying and calendering, a thin and uniform transparent bright layer is formed on the printing surface. Its function is to enhance the smoothness and gloss of the surface of the printed matter, improve the viewing effect of the printed matter, beautify and protect the printed matter, and prolong the service life of the printed matter.
However, the glass transition temperature of varnish needs to meet the requirements of the production process. During the operation of the ultra-high-speed packaging machine, the varnish on the surface of the cigarette packet is easily deformed, and the glass state changes to a high-elastic state, so that the surface friction coefficient of the cigarette packet becomes large. In turn, the slipperiness of the cigarette pack is reduced, which ultimately affects the packaging adaptability of the cigarette pack.
Standard setting of the friction coefficient of cigarette packets
The stability and consistency of the cigarette friction coefficient is mainly determined by the glazing process. As a special ink material, varnish will change with the change of temperature and humidity of the environment, making the surface of the cigarette pack sticky and bun, which will cause the friction coefficient of the cigarette to change. phenomenon.
The value of the indentation line parameter is kept within the requirements of the ultra-high speed packaging machine. The specific operation flow is as follows.
(1) When balancing the pressure, the whole pressure is first applied, and the pressurization is performed from light to heavy. The visually indented line is full and smooth, and when one third of the product is cut off, the pressurization is stopped.
(2) Using a thin paper as a liner, the cut-out portion is crossed out, and the remaining portion is fixed under the film.
(3) When 60% of the product is cut, continue to fill the pressure on the film until the whole plate is completely cut through.
(4) When the indentation line parameter value does not reach the standard, the height of the indentation steel line can be increased while ensuring that the line is not broken.
Standard setting for creasing line parameters
The higher the indentation line parameter value, the more difficult it is to form the package; the indentation line parameter value is too low, the cigarette pack is prone to bursting, and the ultra-high speed packaging machine is easy to cause the phenomenon of cigarette smoke and bag skew, which makes the appearance quality of the cigarette pack.
